Motorcycle gloves

There are many different styles of motorcycle glove to suit just about every kind of riding situation, and if you ride across the seasons, it is likely that you will have to equip yourself with more than one pair of gloves. For summer riding, and when it’s dry, it’s hard to argue against leather motorcycle gloves. It’s comfortable to wear, has strength for abrasion resistance, and gives the rider good feel at the controls. You could equally go for a textile version, but in essence a summer glove has no membrane. But leather is not good in the rain, as it simply absorbs moisture. This can leave you feeling both wet and cold. When it’s cold but dry, you may want to go for a padded leather glove. Every biker will probably also need a pair of waterproof motorcycle gloves. These can either be a summer weight, called a summer waterproof glove; or, for when it is cold and wet, an insulated and waterproof glove, known as a winter glove. Of course, from a style perspective, there are dozens of different designs that allow you to match your glove to the style of bike you ride.

We particularly like and recommend Richa gloves and Held gloves. Both companies started out as glove manufacturers so they really know gloves. Richa make very highly spec'd gloves at very competitive prices. Held make quite unique gloves and in a good range of sizing including short-fingered versions.

Verified customer reviews for Motorcycle gloves

Five TFX1 Airflow Short in black / red

NigeB: Brilliant Summer Glove

Im new to Five gloves, usually using Rukka and Klim, but I was so impressed with the specification and comfort of these gloves I bought a pair. Ive worn them for 1400 warm to hot miles on tour and they did a great job. My hands were comfortable at all times. I preferred them to my Klim summer gloves. Id definitely recommend them.

Richa Atlantic GTX gloves in grey

Darren: Great Feeling Summer GTX Gloves

My existing waterproof gloves were a little too thick and bulky to use in the summer being more of a autumnwinter glove so was looking for a light weight Gore-Tex gloves for summer. I find the fit perfect for me quite snug initially but now just starting to bed in nicely and the level of protection provides a high degree of confidence. I find the grip and feel of controls are excellent due to the thin construction. Cuffs are not too long or bulky and easily fit under my jacket which is what I was looking for. Not yet tested in the rain but other reviews are were 100 positive so I cannot image that I would have any issues. At this price point they must be one of the best summer GTX gloves out there, I even managed to purchase my pair in one of the one day Motolegends sales so it was a complete no brainer, strongly recommended and the service from Motolegends was excellent as always.

Rukka Bingham gloves in brown

Pete: Wrong size

Nothing wrong with the glove just what I wanted, unfortunately size 9 in Rukka was too small for me. Should have ordered a 10 as well.
