Waxed Cotton motorcycle jackets were some of the very earliest motorcycle jackets, from companies like Barbour and Belstaff, were made from wax cotton. Initially they were used by sailors. Really nice, well made and very classy jacket. Exactly what you would expect from Belstaff. I took the plunge on the Crosby as I wanted one that was slightly longer but not as long as the Trailmaster and bullseye -perfect. Lots of nice little touches like the last 2 buttons being rubber so they dont scratch your tanks paintwork and the brass buckles. This jacket may be expensive and yes theres a premium for the name but its also a well made and designed jacket. Worth every penny

Martin: A proper jacket, not just a fashion item

This is my 2nd Crosby, bought as this one is slightly heavier weight than the old Italian one and is more substantial. I like the Crosby because its a good length and has side adjusters rather than a belt. Its my most-worn jacket, warm enough with the Belstaff down jacket for down to 8-10C. My only slight criticism is the cuff is a bit narrow, and is suitable for short gloves only.

John S: A classic revived

I remember the old Trailmaster, which wasnt a nice jacket to wear, but at the time late 70s it was the best waterproof around. I resisted buying the 10oz version of this jacket, simply because of previous experience. The new lighter jacket is much more wearablecomfortable. The look is as classic as it gets and works great when riding my Triumph Scrambler. Very happy with my purchase and great service from ML as always...
