Daytona motorcycle boots

Daytona boots are, in our view, the world's finest motorcycle boots for the serious motorcyclist who commutes, or tours, extensively. Daytona does not believe in bling. In fact, one might even suggest that their boots are a little dull in design terms. But what they do produce is boots of the very highest quality and safety. Daytona boots nearly all come with a Gore-Tex membrane for the very highest levels of waterproofness, but in most cases their boots are also made from hydrophobic leather that actually repels water. In the sole, the boots have a steel shank for stiffness and protection. As you would expect, you also get hard protectors for the heel, ankles, and toe area. The warranty on Daytona boots varies from one to three years, but for most motorcyclists a pair of these will last a lifetime. And that's because Daytona will re-sole boots, replace membranes, or indeed any other part of the boot that falls into disrepair. Our favourite Daytona boot is the Travelstar Pro GTX, a boot that was created specifically for use by the UK police and the military. We think it's the world's best motorcycle boot. Also popular is the Daytona Road Star Pro which comes in both a standard and a wider fit. For the vertically challenged there is the Daytona M-Star Pro with built in hidden heel. All the Pro boots come with an extended 3 year warranty as standard.

These boots are the most comfortable I have found. They can be worn for long walks straight from the box. I normally take an 8.5 Wide and a Daytona size 8 fits perfectly. They are a wide fitting with plenty of room for heavy socks, even after I added a thicker, warmer insole for the winter. Anyone with narrow feet should probably look elsewhere. These boots could not be easier to put on and take off. The nubuck leather looks good new but I am not sure how it will wear. This said, there is always the option of waxing it to give a gloss finish. These are my ideal boots and I recommend them highly.

Ive had these boots for 7 - 8 years, probably longer, covered thousands of miles here the Continent. They are day long comfortable, the build quality is probably unmatched. Only yesterday out in heavy rain not a sign of any leakage. Should they need attention you can return them to Daytona for a refurb. Like anything they need a little care attention, but keep on top of them they will perform for over a decade easily. Absolutely the best kit Ive ever bought.

My first Daytonas Ive shied away from them a bit, as my rides have tended to be modern classics, but now I understand what all the fuss is about. The quality is absolutely superb, and the heel lift in these is just what I wanted for a little extra confidence when a surer footing is required every now and again. Lovely.
