Adventure touring motorcycle boots

The biggest growing sector of biking currently is the adventure category. And defining adventure motorcycling is not easy. These boots are not for hard core off road specialist but more for people adventuring mainly on the black stuff but perhaps sometimes including some tracks and grassy verges. These adventure motorcycle boots will be protective on the bike but comfortable enough to walk around the town too! These are all waterproof boots so appropriate for adventures to all corners of the UK as well as abroad.

For a full range of adventure boots from proper off-road, through mixed on and off to a road boot with an adventure look we would recommend looking at Forma boots. They have an offering that covers every niche. For a really solid adventure option, check out the Klim boots. They also offer what we think is the best of the 'bike and hike' offerings to give you a boot that can be used on the bike and on the tourist trail.

Klim Outlander GTX boots in black

Elwyn: Excellent

The boots are very light but still feel sufficiently protective. The Boa system makes them easy to put on and off. Theyve been comfortable from the off - no break in required. Ive worn them in very heavy rain several times and have stayed dry. Recommended.

JamesL: Overall excellent boot

I combine hiking with bike trips and bought these hoping to save dragging around a set of walking boots as well as my Daytonas. Theyve certainly exceeded expectations on the bike they feel just like a biking boot, and in the hills they feel just like a walking boot. The only problem was that they do seem to come up small. Im a Euro45 but needed to go a size up on Klims chart to a US12. Otherwise, mine had a bit of wearing in hod carrying on the farm, and have been very comfortable since. Ive done proper hill walking in them in Scotland and theyve been absolutely fine. They give good feel on the bike and despite the sole being very grippy in the hills, theres no problem in moving your feet on the controls. Waterproofing is good, and I use my walking gaiters to fill in below my waterproofs.
