Leather Motorcycle Trousers

Some experienced bikers swear by the benefits of leather trousers, but textile motorcycle trousers have come a long way in the last 30 years, and so leather is not always the best option. Leather is abrasion resistant and leather trousers can look great, but leather absorbs the rain like a sponge, and it has little by the way of thermal qualities. It is true that racers wear leather, but they don’t spend hours in the saddle, so don’t tend to get miserably cold and wet. The road rider, by contrast, can get very cold and wet on a long journey, and a pair of leather pants can make one feel even less comfortable. Racers, by the way, wear leather not just for its protective qualities but also for its tendency not to create wind resistance and turbulence. A pair of textile trousers will offer comparable levels of protection to leather and considerably enhanced levels of comfort. For 99% of riders! we feel that a textile pant is the best option. A leather trouser is really for the summer, and for when looking sharp is the primary consideration.

Dave: Excellent Leather Pants

These are the most comfortable and best fitting pair of motorcycle pants Ive ever owned. Both on and off the bike. Im impressed with the quality of the leather. It is soft and doesnt feel or look cheap like many leather pants Ive seen. The polyester lining makes them easy to get on and off. The zippers are heavy duty -- not the tiny sized zippers that fail or break easily. They are stylish and dont obviously look like motorcycle pants, like leather sport bike pants do. Ive been wearing them daily for a few months now. Theyre nicely broken in and fit even better than they did the day I got them. Im 58, 175lbs with a 31 waist. The 30W32L was the right size for me.

Martin Stainthorpe: Great

My 1st leather suit got the Jacket too. Wore it at the weekend and found it really comfy and better than textile. Tricky to get the right size. I ordered 2 sizes and wrestled with the fact that leather gives a little vs going a size up. Going to the shop probably would have been better. Kit turned up in a very battered box and I had a hassle returning it as it was confusing around return labels. A return label was in the box but having taken it to the DHL drop Off it was not the correct label. After a phone call I then got the necessary label and got the unwanted kit sent back. Lots of tape needed on the box to secure the contents! Stronger boxes needed for such heavy garments. Love the product. Really comfy. Sat on the bike to make sure pads sat in the correct place. Leg length good. Im 6ft 2 with a 32 inch leg.

Stuart: Great product - happy customer

Definitely a premium pant, soft and supple out of the bag. Very comfortable and they look great. They fit quite small compared to standard sizing, so you might want to go one size up I had to send mine back for a replacement. If youve got chunky legs youll almost certainly need to upsize. Leg zip opens for allow to go over your boots, but only comfortably if youve got ankle boots. Anything approaching an adventure boot then its a tuck in. Overall very happy with the pants and would recommend them.
