Motorcycle jackets | Bike jackets | Biker jackets
Choosing a motorcycle jacket is probably the most important gear decision you have to make. The huge choice of bike jackets on the market can be bewildering. There are the safety issues to consider - how abrasion resistant is the jacket material; are there reinforced areas; what level is the shoulder and elbow armour; is a back protector included or optional? Then you need to think about the waterproofing and venting properties of the jacket. Will you be riding in the summer or winter or both? These days a textile motorcycle jacket can be just as effective as leather in terms of protection. But leather has no thermal qualities, and is very poor when it comes to keeping the rider dry, as it simply absorbs moisture. Staying safe on a bike is helped when you ride comfortably, and in most circumstances, hot or cold, wet or dry, you'll be more comfortable in a textile jacket. Textile jackets also tend to come equipped with a whole host of technical features that often don't make their way onto leather motorcycle jackets. Choose leather if your priority is looking good, or if you’re riding on the track. Choose textile for commuting and touring.

We stock what we consider to be the very best brands in the business - so Rukka jackets, Klim jackets, Belstaff jackets to name just the top few. Bering Norris Evo jacket in khaki
This is a superb jacket, very nicely made with all the good quality snap fasteners etc it is a slim fit jacket if in doubt go up a size 4xl seems to equate to my normal 3xl completely waterproof with soft armour in shoulders and elbows, and a zip out thermal liner should give many years of service. Very happy customer. Many thanks again.
Rukka Kemi jacket in black
I watched multiple reviews of this jacket. The Motolegends review is excellent. Realistically I dont need a laminate jacket, but I prefer the way they feel to a drop liner jacket. As far as the Gore-tex argument goes. I am sure they stand by the lifetime guarantee but its a big price hike for something that realistically I am unlikely to ever take advantage of. The Kemi comes with a level 1 back protector so I bought a level 2 one. I switched the level 1 armour to an Alpinestars jacket that came with no protection. I also bought the Rukka down jacket. Both of these are highlighted by Chris as things the Nivala benefits from. For me the Kemi is excellent value for money. Its windproof, waterproof, well armoured and comfortable.
Belstaff Mansion riding shirt with D3O in black
Chriss review is worth a look.. quite rightly as suggested this wears slightly more like a light weight jacket than a shirt but thats not always a bad thing. I previously bought a cheap Merlin lined shirtreally enjoyed wearing it but the quality was lacking. In this respect you cant go wrong with Belfast, quality and durability is assured. Will be wearing mine whenever I can weather permitting. Will also use it as part of a layering system when in tour in warmer climes
