Daytona Max Sports GTX boots in black Product Information
The Daytona Max Sports GTX boot is the first, short-shafted men’s boot from Daytona to have a hidden 6cm heel lift. This is especially useful for riders with legs that are too short or bikes that are too tall! The boots are constructed from high-quality, hydrophobic, full-grain leather. A Gore-tex membrane ensures they are both waterproof and breathable, whilst twin zips mean that getting in and out of the boots will always be easy. Robust ankle protectors, a shin guard, a reinforced midsole and a galvanised, steel shank confirm that this is as strong a short boot as it’s possible to find. 3M-Scotchlite heel reflectors help with nighttime visibility, whilst a non-slip, rubber sole ensures you will always be firmly planted on the road. The Max Sports GTX boot is not the only boot in the Daytona range with a concealed heel lift, but a short boot like this will go so much better with jeans and chinos for a more casual look. William: game changer
Ive been back to motorcycling for 14 years after a break of 20 years as the family grew up. My current boots are well past their sell-by date and after moving from my old VN900 to my 21plate DCT Goldwing it became very apparent at only 56 I needed some extra lift to my 29 inseam. After watching several YouTube reviews and that chap in the cap on the Daytona Max Sports GTX boots with the high lift insole, plus following advice from her indoors to stop pussy footing about. Ive taken the plunge and purchased these boots, expensive yes, the Quality is fantastic, and the purchasing experience painless and fast. The boots fit like a glove and whilst the insole feels a little strange at first, once on the bike you dont feel it. The confidence the extra lift has given me on the gold wing at a standstill or at junctions with obscure cambers is unbelievable. So my advice to anyone short in stature male or female and on a tall machine invest in a pair of Daytona boots with the high lift insole you wont regret it.
Lee Broadhurst: Does Change thing slightly.
Had no doubt about the quality of this boot as its a Daytona 1010. Just whether the heel rise would work and it does to a degree for me. But this also changes the position of you foot on the peg.No big deal and you do get use to it very quickly. But worth the considerations.
Anthony: Always the best.
I first bought Daytona boots 25 years ago when I finally bought myself a new Triumph Trident 900. I still have the boots which recently completed a long trip around North Wales in all weathers. I have just bought a BMW GS 2013 and immediately found myself not comfortable regarding my feet being on the ground when stopped. So I bought a pair of these boots and the problem was solved due to the raised her. More to the point these boots are wonderful quality and are supremely comfortable. I cant recommend them enough but dont expect to buy another pair as they just dont wear out.
