Klim Latitude jacket in stealth black Product Information
The Latitude that we are talking about here is the new-for-2023 version. It is very much a road-riding jacket. It sits below the Kodiak in the Klim hierarchy, although we actually prefer the Latitude to the Kodiak because it is so much lighter, easier to wear and more comfortable.
It is a two-layer, laminated, Gore-tex jacket, so it’s going to be as waterproof as just about anything on the market. It does not come with a thermal lining, but we usually prefer that. The Latitude is plentifully supplied with vents: on the chest, down the arms, up the flanks and in the back. Pockets are similarly manifold. For adjustability, you get two volume adjusters on the arms and at the waist. One major upgrade for the new jacket is zips at the ends of the sleeves. Much of the other stuff is detail. For a full spec., read the bullet points, or watch one of our YouTube reviews.
The Latitude has very much been designed with comfort in mind. And in this, it is much aided by the stretch fabric that runs under the arms and across the shoulders. However, it is the inclusion of this fabric that has caused the new version of the jacket to go from an AA-rated jacket to an A-rated one. Klim has also decided to fit the new Latitude with Level 1 D3O, rather than Level 2. One disappointment is that the new Latitude jacket is not available in a ‘short’ configuration, in the way that its predecessor was.
But, without doubt, the Latitude is one of the most comfortable, technical, road-riding jackets that money can buy. Of course, there is a matching pant.

S. Targett: Good jacket
I bought this to replace a 5 year old Halvarssons jacket which was no longer as waterproof as I would like given I ride year round and regularly travel from Gloucestershire to Northumberland on my bike. So far it has proven to be totally waterproof, comfortable to wear and quite windproof. With suitable layers beneath Ive done 350 miles in gale driven rain and remained dry and warm. My only issue is that although there are zips at the end of the sleeves I still cant get winter gloves inside the sleeve and the ends of the sleeves are quite hard and have a tendency to dig in to my wrist unless I make sure a mid layer is protecting my skin. Otherwise its excellent.
Steve T: Good jacket so far
Bought this as a replacement for a Halvarssons one which after 5 years was no longer waterproof. As I ride all year round this isnt an option. I baulked at the cost of Rukka Nivala and had fancied the Rukka Kimi but got 20 off the Klim so went for that. Since then I have ridden about 1000 miles including a wintry ride from Gloucestershire to Northumberland and back. It has been fully waterproof and windproof too. Combined with decent base and mid layers I was warm too. My only negatives are the cuffs dont open wide enough to fit winter gloves underneath and the endsof the sleeves are very stiff and dig in a bit. Otherwise a really good bit of kit.
F D: Waterproof allright
I rode my Latitude through the recent atmospheric rivers in California, out of Temecula CA to be specific. So it got out to the test. First off, yeah its waterproof and yeah it wont saturate with water. We drove through nearly 6 hours of various levels of rain and the jacket did not wet out. Second, it got cold at 5,000 feet on Mount Palomar and the jacket is seriously windproof too. Allowed the Maverick down jacket to do its job by keeping the wind at bay.. yes the jacket is stiffer than say the Marrakesh, but compared to my leathers its still a lot more comfortable and practical. Nice work Klim.
