Klim Latitude jacket in blue Product Information
The Latitude that we are talking about here is the new-for-2023 version. It is very much a road-riding jacket. It sits below the Kodiak in the Klim hierarchy, although we actually prefer the Latitude to the Kodiak because it is so much lighter, easier to wear and more comfortable.
It is a two-layer, laminated, Gore-tex jacket, so it’s going to be as waterproof as just about anything on the market. It does not come with a thermal lining, but we usually prefer that. The Latitude is plentifully supplied with vents: on the chest, down the arms, up the flanks and in the back. Pockets are similarly manifold. For adjustability, you get two volume adjusters on the arms and at the waist. One major upgrade for the new jacket is zips at the ends of the sleeves. Much of the other stuff is detail. For a full spec., read the bullet points, or watch one of our YouTube reviews.
The Latitude has very much been designed with comfort in mind. And in this, it is much aided by the stretch fabric that runs under the arms and across the shoulders. However, it is the inclusion of this fabric that has caused the new version of the jacket to go from an AA-rated jacket to an A-rated one. Klim has also decided to fit the new Latitude with Level 1 D3O, rather than Level 2. One disappointment is that the new Latitude jacket is not available in a ‘short’ configuration, in the way that its predecessor was.
But, without doubt, the Latitude is one of the most comfortable, technical, road-riding jackets that money can buy. Of course, there is a matching pant.

Jeremy Arthur: First class service the correct jacket
I called with the guys at Guilford in July of 2024 looking to buy two jackets that I had in mind. One being the Marrakesh, and the other a laminated jacket to suit riding in Northern Ireland. We soon discovered that the laminate jacket I had in mind did not come in my size. Once they had ascertained from me what my requirements were - simply I wanted a laminate jacket to keep me dry once the heavens opened even if the start had been dry and I was emphatic that I did not want a black jacket. I already had the Scott waterproofs which would complement the Marrakesh for rainy weather stopping during our monthly organised rides with 30 or so bikes to put on waterproofs was not an option!. The guys took a lot of time with me trying on various jackets that did not suit or appeal to me for one reason or another, then jackpot, Klims Latitude Jacket. I have not stopped wearing it since I returned home and it is perfect, even when dry and warm the jacket flows enough air to keep one cool even in the twenties. It has only been cold enough once thus far for me to wear a thermal jacket and it worked a treat. The guys at Motolegends had sized me perfectly to allow for mid layers, checking me on their in store bike. The Latitude Jacket is now my main jacket for riding and only recently in the high twenties that we had for a few days did I swap to the fantastic Marrakesh. I can not praise or recommend the Latitude jacket enough for both its quality of construction and perfection for my type of riding in this part of the world. Thanks guys
F D: Serious contender for road use
This jacket is brilliant. Had it for 2 years, perfectly waterproof and therefore also decently wind proof. Quality materials and assembly throughout, nothing has broken or given out. This is an investment that will last years. It took some breaking into, it was rather stiff at first, not after 2 yrs of use it feels like an old wool coat. Its not stretchy, but its forgiving. Its definitely a fitted jacket, as youd expect for road use, not a baggy fit youd want for off road. This is a proper tarmac top jacket. I trust this jacket completely to perform in case of need, thats the bottom line. And that gives me more bandwidth to focus on the road and enjoy the ride.
