Halvarssons Lysvik jacket in black Product Information
The Halvarssons Lysvik is a classic, throw-on, biking jacket. The jacket has a lovely, soft feel; and indeed it’s comfortable enough to wear all day. Even though the jacket might be considered by some as a casual/urban style, it is approved at the AA level. Level 1 protectors come as standard in the elbows and shoulders. For waterproofing, the jacket is equipped with a waterproof membrane. What the jacket does not have is any thermal lining. Where the Lysvik scores particularly highly is in its venting. You get two, horizontal, zipped vents on the chest, and super-long vents up the sleeves. There are also two exhaust vents on the back. Frankly, it’s ridiculously under-priced. Rarely have we seen a jacket that offers so much for so little. It also comes in green.

Rob Down: Value for Money
Excellent summer jacket with first class venting. Comfortable, relatively light weight and looks good on and off the bike. A good price for Halvarssons. Just back from Spain and mixed weather - just perfect for a trip in the Picos de Europa.
Graham Jones: Great jacket
Used this jacket a few times since purchase and very pleased - light comfortable- true to size fit -its vents work a treat.
Chuck W.: Good price and quality... But...
I like the looks of this jacket, and its made from quality materials... But. The shoulder armour is a little pronounced. Makes me feel like Im wearing American football shoulder pads. I bought ghost armour to change it out, but the armour is velcroed in there. Gotta figure a way to replace it with a velcroed ghost D30. Otherwise I like it.
Bob Jarrett: Great Jacket
Ive had this jacket for almost a year now and until a couple of weeks ago, had worn it exclusively with a pair of bike jeans as my go to combo when I had a couple of hours on a sunny Sunday to go for a ride or taking the bike for service etc. And for that sort of use it has been spot on. And then I took leave of my senses and followed Chriss layering advice and decided leave my laminate suit at home and to use the jacket and jeans combo for a weeks bike trip to Normandy which I knew wouldnt involve huge miles but would involve a degree of off the bike sight seeing. The Lysvik was great. Comfortable in 24 degree heat down to 13 degrees on the journey back home from the ferry with a base and mid layer. It also performed well in moderate rain meaning I didnt have to break out the waterproof over-jacket all week. For the money, you really cant go wrong.
Allan: Lysvik Jacket
Well made jacket, very comfortable for summer use and joins with other trousers using the Halvarssons belt zip. Only slight niggle is when the back protector is fitted the front collar of the jacket lifts which allows it to dig into your neck. Resolved by wearing a neck buff. Overall this is a great value jacket and highly recommended.
Gary: Great jacket
Definitely my go to jacket seems to do everything really well. Used it when it was really hot and the ventilation was great, I have been caught out in the rain and stayed dry for an hour or so. I think with a down jacket a waterproof and neck tube you wouldnt need much more. And such a good price
Graham: Great Jacket
Excellent for a summers day, good quality and a nice fit. Brilliant service as ever, cant speak highly enough of my buyers experience.
Graham: Very good jacket
Excellent jacket, good fit and great service as always
ian: Really good jacket
I tried many jackets on, Rukka, Klim etc but they all had problems for me which was not good on items so expensive. Based on YouTube videos I decided for the summer I did not want a full Gore-Tex suit, tried alpine stars on form other shops and didnt feel good. I spoke to a lady in the shop and she immediately recommended this jacket, I was sceptical due to the price and that I had already tried a Harlvarssons which didnt feel good to me. However the Lysvikjacket is really comfortable, fits well easily better quality than anything I tried on at this price point, even better than jackets twice the price. Really is an excellent jacket and is not a cheap feeling jacket at all. It is listed as Halvarssons but all branding on the jacket is Lindstrands, so not sure if this is a sister company? Doesnt matter, as the jacket is great. Great service by all on the phone and shop. Thanks
Matt: Great first jacket
As a new biker I wanted something protective but good value too. This fit the bill perfectly. I opted for the back armour and have since upgraded to D30 Ghost armour to make the jacket even more comfortable. I had to go up a size from my anticipated sizing but motoledgends return policy meant this was easy to do.
Pat watts: Quality jacket
