Halvarssons Lysvik jacket in green Product Information
The Halvarssons Lysvik is a classic, throw-on, biking jacket. The jacket has a lovely, soft feel; and indeed it’s comfortable enough to wear all day. Even though the jacket might be considered by some as a casual/urban style, it is approved at the AA level. Level 1 protectors come as standard in the elbows and shoulders. For waterproofing, the jacket is equipped with a waterproof membrane. What the jacket does not have is any thermal lining. Where the Lysvik scores particularly highly is in its venting. You get two, horizontal, zipped vents on the chest, and super-long vents up the sleeves. There are also two exhaust vents on the back. Frankly, it’s ridiculously under-priced. Rarely have we seen a jacket that offers so much for so little. It also comes in black.

Mike Austin: Lovely, Lovely Jacket
The look of this jacket caught my eye immediately I saw it on on MotoLegends website. I watched Chriss video review on the jacket which helped to convince me to buy it. These videos are always very good in my opinion. I also rang MotoLegends to ask them to use a specific courier for me and they kindly did that - so first class service again. The jacket looks even better when you see it - at least I think so - it looks very smart. It also feels more rugged than the photos would have you believe. I bought slighter larger than usual for me EU56 as I wanted to make sure I could get a heated jacket and base layers under it comfortably. So far, this has worked out well for me. I find the existing armour ok - but I may upgrade it at a later date. I have worn it a few times out on my bike now and it is really comfortable. I was out the other evening a bit later than I intended, about 1030pm with an hours ride left. It was getting quite chilly - even though this jacket held the chill off for ages. I stopped and put on the fantastic Scotts rainproof jacket - this stopped all the cold from the wind. - which proves that I can wear my Lysvik jacket in the coldish weather. I rate this jacket as first class as I do with MotoLegends service. I highly recommend this jacket, both for its looks and wearability.
Rotiel: An absolute bargain !
This is a beautifully made jacket - in my opinion, quality comparable to my old Rukka gear - I usually wear a size 58 but that was too snug so exchanged for a size 62 - brilliant - the Lysvik jacket is a real bargain ! Usual unbeatable service from Motolegends, many thanks !
Chris: Great Jacket
Found the Jacket to be very versatile. Wore it in Northern Spain in May where the mountain air tempratures were up and down like a yoyo. Simply opening or closing the vents was enough to stay comfortable with a single base layer. Looks good true to size.
Mac: Lysvik, whatsnot to like?
I needed to replace my old summer jacket , having owned a pair of Lindstrands MC trousers and always been impressed with the design and build quality , Motolegends was the first port of call on the laptop. The Lysvik jacket seemed Ideal, Great value, great styling and excellent protection, so not being 100 sure of the sizing the easy returns procedure and in- stock availability made it a no brainer to buy from Motolegends.
Roy: Great jacket
Purchased this jacket for a bike tour of France. It fitted perfectly and was very comfortable from the off. Size 52, am 6ft, approx 44 chest Love all the vents, which do work well. When the vents are closed it was warm enough, but I do have room for a liner if need be. Never had any rain so unable to say how waterproof the jacket might be. Will be my future touring jacket. As ever, fast, efficient service from Motolegends, thank you.
Dave Hall: Great jacket
Jacket is fantastic but with the D30 back armour it pulls the collar and digs into the neck. Zip ends could do with being softer. This is really annoying
Paul: A Quality Jacket.
Thanks to the staff at Motolegends for their brilliant service. This jacket arrived in Oz today and I couldnt be happier. Fits perfectly and just the thing for the summer months. The quality of this jacket is much better than I expected for the price, in fact Im not sure how Halvarssons are making it for this kind of money. Cheers.
Rich: Excellent Lightweight Jacket
The Lysvik jacket has been the go to bit of kit over the summer. Well made, lightweight, good fit and comfortable. Great service from Motolegends. I do agree that ghost armour or similar would be a better bet than the original equipment armour.
Craig: Great jacket
Love this jacket . Chris was spot on in his motolegends review . Its my go too jacket - I also bought the belt to join to jeans and a d30 back protector . I also own a Rukka nivala jacket which is excellent, but find Im using this jacket more and more, as its lighter and when zipped to jeans gives good feeling of protection. Love it . For the price I think its a no brainer . Excellent service from moto legends as I ordered 52 and changed it for a 50.
Simon: Fantastic Jacket
I watched Chris The chap in the cap review this jacket on uTube and I have to say it was a great recommendation! This jacket is superb! Really well made, tough and durable but light weight and comfortable. When you open the vents on the sleeves its also extremely cool in hot weather. Really good airflow through the jacket! I couldnt be happier with it! Highly recommended!
Philip: Great Jacket
Really pleased with this jacket. The green looks good and the fit is excellent. I am 5 feet 8 inches tall, have a 39 inch chest and a 32 inch waist - the EU 50 fits perfectly. Vents are good and the D3O back protector is very comfortable. As mentioned in the video review the standard shoulder and elbow armour is a bit hard and bulky, but does not detract from how good the jacket is overall. First time buying from Motolegends - excellent service - delivered the next day and staff in the office quickly sorted out my query about fitting the back protector.
David J W: Just the job!
Really wanted Green size 58 but not immediately available so worked around stock - green 56 too tight Black 58 nice fit less pizazz luck in - green 58 appeared, grabbed it and delighted. Product, communication, customer service all first class as usual.
iamwatty68: Halvarssons Lysvik Jacket
Purchased this jacket for summer use. First of all, great service by Motolegends, arrived quickly and well packaged. The jacket looks really well in green, great quality and fits well. Vents are fantastic. My only negative is the armour, its a little hard, I will replace it with some of the new Halvarssons soft feeling armour, this should make the jacket really comfortable. Overall, a great jacket, really pleased with it and great service by Motolegends.
Dan: Practical jacket
Rather than buy a heavily insulated and very expensive jacket, I bought a slightly larger size Lysvik to wear some of the warm kit I already own underneath. The jacket has been brilliant in the cold and wet, keeping me warm with other layers and dry even in sub zero temperatures. Ive not tested it in warm weather or torrential downpour yet. The green looks better than the black in my view, and although this is called a Halvarssons jacket, it is actually branded Lindstrands.
JJNewman: A jacket for all seasons
Took a trip to Motolegends HQ to investigate and get to look and see the operation in person. . No chap in cap to measure me but a Saffer called Rob looked after me. A few months in and Im very pleased with the Lysvik Although I guess this is marketed as summer jacket I have been wearing it as an outer winter jacket layering up with an Icebreaker 200 base layer and the frightfully expensive Long Way Up Down as a mid layer. This combo keeps my core warm down to about 5c for a few hours riding. Whether this combination would work at temperatures closer to zero c I doubt but then I wouldnt be out on my bike anyway.
Keith: Excellent product
Purchased for the summer very pleased with it, great fit really comfortable on. Looking forward to using it when it is time to be out on the bike again.
dace: Superb in every way.
Firstly it is a looker, What a good looking jacket and it performs superbly in our English Summer. Lets in enough air to keep you cool on our rare warm days and having been caught in light rainfall will keep you relatively dry. The manufacture is second to none and the fit well, for me is spot on. Cannot fault it in any way, so impressed with this purchase. It is now looking a little bedded in and looks even better than before yep, I like the jacket Onto Motolegends, received the item in quick time and am impressed with the packaging, especially the foam neck brace that kept and will keep the neck in good order. Everything was excellent.
Best Summer Jacket Ever: The best of summer jackets
For the cost, this jacket cannot be faulted. As a summer jacket it just does everything you would want it to do, with the added bonus of looking really cool, especially in green. Not tried it in a shower of rain yet but I have no reason to believe it wont deal with that as well. Really chuffed with my purchase.
Peejay: just the thing for warm weather riding.
Bought the green colour version , plenty of pockets , vents are great - closed the arm vents in the morning and fully open in the afternoon 28deg plus , still cool enough sitting in traffic!!
ANDREW: Brilliant jacket
Ordered this jacket as I know halvarssons are quality manufacturers I was not disappointed also bought the zip belt attachment which is a fantastic idea. Really happy with service from motolegends
Harvey: A great jacket
Got it in green, though it is a really nice shade Great fit The arm vents are brilliant, 3 trips out in 20 degrees plus Having the dryway liner in is a bonus but not as yet tested Off for a week in Scotland so that might test it but taking the Scott overcoat just in case
Harvey: Great value Jacket
As always, great customer service and on this occasion I wasnt probably for the first time get a price match as the jacket was new I needed a jacket to fit in between the Rukka Forsair and Nivala I got the Halvarssons Lysvik jacket What a pleasant surprise. Feels and looks quality for such a low price I opted up for the D30 ghost armour and a D30 back protector. Even with the added cost this is still reasonable Great fit, nice venting right up the arms and a dryway membrane Bought for a tour of Scotland in June to hopefully cover both the warm and or the wet days Venting certainly works well on the hot days as tested this week Hope it works in the wet
