Held Segrino GTX boots in black Product Information
The Segrino is a shorter, touring-style boot, although with its fibreglass shin protector it’s much taller than any ankle boot. It’s a boot for the person who wants the protection of a full-height boot, but who still wants to be able to be able to walk around comfortably all day off the bike. The Segrino is shorter than, for example, a Daytona Roadstar but taller than a Daytona Arrow Sport or AC Dry. It is an in-between boot for those perhaps searching for the best of both worlds.
The chassis of the boot is made from a combination of leather and various synthetic materials. Waterproofing comes courtesy of a Gore-Tex membrane. For protection you get a super-hard counter in the toe, fibreglass protectors in the ankles and a hugely-strong insert in the heel. On both feet you get a gearchange panel.
For comfort you get a leather concertina panel in the heel and a soft, elasticated, concertina panel in the forefoot. Around the shaft of the boot, there’s an elasticated band that will adjust to accomodate a wide variety of calfs. The boot fastens by means of a couple of Velcro adjusters. There’s no zip, so the Segrino is going to be particular easy to get in and out of.
The outsole is a non-slip Vibram affair. You also get reflectors both back and front.
The Segrino GTX is a pretty unique boot. For some, the boot will be too short; others will take the view that it’s going to be less easy to wear than a pure ankle boot. But for some it will be the perfect height.
Like all Held Gore-Tex boots, it comes with a five-year warranty; and it’s worth bearing in mind that this is three years’ more than you get from a Daytona!
This product benefits from Held's five year warranty extension as long as the purchase is registered with Held.
