Five TFX3 Air Flow gloves in black / grey

For us, the big shame about the Five TFX3 Air Flow glove is that it turned up here in Guildford just a few days after we released our YouTube video about the Top 30 summer gloves. Had it arrived in time, we would most certainly have included it.

 

First thing. Don't research this glove by visiting Five's website. And that's because their description is so full of hyperbole that it makes the guys at Klim look like shrinking violets!

 

The TFX3 Air Flow glove is very much an off-road, adventure glove. It's a nice glove, although it's not necessarily an extraordinary one.

 

The palm is perforated goatskin. The back of the hand is constructed from a stretchy, Spandex-like fabric. Five claim this a water-resistant glove, but I would take that with a pinch of salt. You get foam-backed protectors on four of the main knuckles, and a couple on the minor knuckles . There's Lycra in the fourchettes between the fingers for added flexibility. At the base of the palm, you get a layer of Kevlar to protect your skin if you go down the road. There's a PU panel on the palm for extra grip on the controls. The index finger is touchscreen sensitive. On the left hand, you get a pad on the index finger that can absorb moisture, and so act as a visor-wipe. The glove fastens by means of Velcro tab.

 

That's a very reasonable spec.. This will also be a supremely comfortable glove. It will flow air well, although there are gloves that flow more air. But perhaps the standout feature of this glove its price. It's very reasonable.
