Spidi TX-1 gloves in sand / black

The Spidi TX-1 is a pure, summer glove, in that it has no membrane. So you wouldn't want to wear it in the rain, but on a hot day this is the kind of glove that will help you stay cool. It will also be a particularly comfortable glove to ride in; again, because of the absence of a membrane.

 

The glove is made up of a number of materials. The back of the hand is goat hide. The palm is made from Keramide, re-inforced with leather in key areas. There's also a lot of stretch fabric incorporated into the glove, especially between the fingers. There are also significant  areas of mesh to aid airflow. 

 

On the back of the hand, there's a large knuckle protector, although this is backed with foam for comfort. At the base of the palm there's a large rubber bumper, to protect you if you end up sliding down the road. The wrist fastens by means of a Velcro flap.

 

There are lots of perfectly nice summer gloves out there. The TX-1 doesn't really do anything that other gloves don't do. It's probably fair to say that, in styling terms, it has a bit of an adventure feel to it. It might also be suggested that the TX-1 is more protective than some summer gloves.

 

It is reasonably priced too.
