Stadler 4All Pro trousers in grey Product Information
*Please note: refer to our size chart for the correct size fitting
The outer fabric is laminated Gore-Tex Pro shell, with Cordura, stretch panels for comfort and large areas of Superfabric, the enormously expensive and highly abrasion-resistant fabric that is constructed from ceramic particles.
Throughout the jackets and pants, all the armour is certified to the Level 2 standard.
One the great strengths of the '4 All Pro' is the venting; there are large vents that run vertically down both the thighs. To prevent water ingress, both the vents are protected by waterproof Aquaseal zips.
What makes the venting system particularly effective is a complicated honeycomb-structured liner below the outer fabric that improves airflow though the garment.
For warmth, the trouser has a removable thermal lining.
But it is in some of the detailing that Stadler really stands out. On the trouser there's a waist adjuster, but there's another very clever system inside the pant that allows it to be almost custom fitted. There are multiple volume adjusters, coccyx protection and connecting zips.
Stadler makes a number of suits, but this is the one that is most suited to our climate, and the kind of riding many of us do. With its laminated, Pro-Shell construction, it is going to be as waterproof as anything on the market. Materials like heavy-duty Cordura and Superfabric make it incredibly strong and abrasion resistant. And it's better vented than other laminate suits we've come across. This really is as close to a full four-season outfit as you're going to get.
Of course, it isn't the only laminated combination on the market; it's not even the only laminated we sell, but it is one the lightest and easiest to wear that we have seen. In the summer, and in hot weather, the Stadler is going to be in a league of its own. The 4All Pro Grey Trouser comes in regular and short leg length.

Rated as one of our top 10 motorcycle touring suits.

Simon: Great trousers
Very comfortable on and off the bike once broken in with a few miles of use. A recent wet and cold tour to Scotland proved them to be absolutely waterproof. The lack of wetting out is lovely, I dont miss having to put on my old drop liner trousers that would still be wetted out from the previous days riding. Some layering is required when the temperature drops, especially if youre ambitious enough to think it might be warm enough in Scotland in June to leave the thermal liner at home. I havent tested the ventilation yet as, for warm weather local riding, I switch to single layer jeans. The quality and construction of the trousers is excellent. The substantial armour and use of Superfabric gives me confidence in the safety of the 4All Pros. I ended up in a completely different size to what Id anticipated. A visit to Guildford for the usual excellent MotoLegends shop service was essential. Being of a robust stature with a particularly short inseam, the extra short leg length was perfect and these are the first off-the-peg trousers to fit me properly. In truth, Stadler is probably overkill for the amount of riding that I do, but I was happy to pay for the quality.
John Ridd: When fully tested they are found wanting
There is no doubt the pants are comfortable and for the main part they are waterproof. However if you are riding a lot of miles and get caught in bad weather your will soon discover some short comings. The pockets despite having waterproof zips and made of Gortex are not waterproof and Stadler have now confirmed this. Also the softer fabrics do not dry easily and quickly as Stadler would have you believe. Even sat in a warm airing cupboard they can take 12 hours. If your touring and camping you will be wearing wet trousers the next day.
Alex: Worth every penny
Not cheap, but well worth it. Wish Id discovered these before trying several other brands, including Rukka. Comfortable, well ventilated insulated, and definitely completely waterproof as 2 weeks in Irish rain will testify to.
Paul Smith: All day comfortable protective trousers
I had been looking for a replacement for my leathers which had done me sterling service for 30yrs and on Motolegends advice thought the 4All pro trousers would be a suitable long term replacement to update my biking wardrobe. Having used them for some 8-9 mths now through all weathers they have lived up to Motolegends recommendation. All day long comfortable, whether on the bike or walking around during the day. I purchased the Stadler braces as well which I would recommend as I think they add to the comfort factor. Motolegends also sorted a connecting zip to the Klim Marrakesh jacket that I bought at the same time which I am also extremely happy with. Ive ridden from Cumbria to Cornwall in torrential rain and remained dry and comfortable. Ive also worn them in both high and low temps in which the trousers have kept me comfortable, venting works well in the heat and the zip out warm liner works for me with long johns in the current winter temps. These arent cheap but worth every penny
Steve: Stadler All4 Pro trousers
Happily I got these in a Sunday sale which helped over come my only reservation with these trousers. They are terrific-comfortable, warm, full of detail. I bought the braces as well and these make the trousers even easier to wear. I have the Stadler jacket too and together they are a great combination. Curious how much more comfortable the trousers are compared to the jacket. Even after 3 years of wearing the jacket it is still stiff and much less easy to wear than a drop liner jacket. But it is incredibly protective. Very pleased with the two items combined. And as ever great service from Motolegends.
Michael: sturdy and weatherproof
Bought these to replace aging leaky strides. So far so good - worn in warm conditions with flaps open, in drizzle and in heavy rain for several hours. All good.
Rory Edwards: Great pants and great service
Need to give Legends a big shout again. Last review was a year ago but still great service and great product. Had the Stadlers for a few weeks and had a few rides. They are the most comfortable mc pants Ive ever had. But last time i was to go out found one of the waist fasteners had come away. Nothing serious but wanted a fix. Within a couple of hours Megan had emailed to say that Legends would arrange repair and yesterday Carol rang to say they had been repaired and were on the way back. Fantastic. Caps off to Christopher and the team.
Andy F: Best trousers ever
Hard to articulate how good these trousers are. They are supremely comfortable yet Ive never had wet legs while riding in the wet. Would highly recommend
PJacques: Like silk Pyjamas
Chap wasnt over-egging these trousers, they really are super comfortable- worth every penny.
Jean-Jacques: Review after 6000 km in Australia outback
Living in Tahiti, in perspective of a trip to Australia, I bought a pair of trousers online based on customer reviews. I cant thank Motolegends enough for recommending this product. Very protective and comfortable, especially paired with braces. They are performing flawlessly in cold low teens Celsius, rain, wind, dust, and when dropping the bike! Great pants.
J.J. Solari: Australian Autumn-Winter 6000 km
Living in Tahiti, I ordered this pair of trousers online in the perspective of a trip to Australia outback. I cant thank Motolegends enough for recommending this item, as it is performing flawlessly in rain, cold, dust and drops! Very protective, and comfortable paired with the braces.
Jason Hopgood: Stadler trousers
What a great pair of trousers, so comfortable, not as warm as rukka, so hat to layer different as was down to 6 Dec and raining, and stayed dry, what great service from motolegends great product, cheers guys
Micheál P: Review after 1 year 15000 miles
Fantastic Trouser, I have the long version and they are the first pair I have ever owned that dont ride up on the boots after a days riding. They are super comfortable especially when paired with the braces. A quality product!!!
Terry R: One thing I didnt notice...
I had these now for five or six weeks and used them in some cold and inclement weather. First off, they are immensely comfortable. Not just for a set of armoured motorcycle trousers, they are just plain comfortable period. The armour disappears once it warms up from your body heat and these are the only trousers Ive ever been able to leave the knee armour in, normally I find it so irksome I have to pull it out and wear armoured knee tubes. They do however transmit the cold quite badly once wet, even with the lining it, so Ill need to find a good thermal lining. At first I thought there might be a leak but I was bone dry underneath, just cold. Also, one thing I did miss when trying them on in the showroom, they are a bit light on pockets. This is no doubt attributable to safety but I didnt spot it and do find it a little irritating. Definitely worth the rather high price though!
Nick: Very good Trouser
These are great and fit well in the end, I had to go up on waist size and went with long leg Im 32 inside leg. A lot of people have rated these highly and I do agree. When you get the fit right, they are smart, comfortable and protective.
Louis: Solid performance
I bought the top and bottoms together and they haven't missed a beat through some very harsh weather. Quality trousers which are very protective and very comfortable. I can't ask for more.
Brian: Wow. Better than all the hype.
I have had my 4 All Pro suit now for two weeks. WOW. It is better than I expected. I ride motorcycles for a living all year round averaging around 30 000 miles a year. I have owned the best suits from Rukka , Aerostitch and BMW but this stuff is on another level. So well made, very comfortable and the level of protection you feel when wearing it is like my one piece track leathers but still really comfy. I rode all day in the rain at 3 degrees C and with the Stadler Snug thermal jacket on over a merino base layer I was toasty warm and dry. The Armour is really fitted and feels so safe yet you barely notice it. I am extremely happy with this suit. It is simply the best motorcycle gear I have owned.
Donovan Smith: STADLER 4ALL PRO TROUSERS
So I looked, then tried the Stadlers on. Having a bike in the Motolegends shop made it super easy to get the feel for the knee pad placement and to see the length on you when sitting down. I loved the personal attention and friendly atmosphere, with plenty of safe, off road parking just outside the door. After all, it has the Goretex lifetime guaranteed to keep you dry warranty and Stadlers own 10 year warranty , so these are instantly likeable. The pants are superb, they are sleek, yet not power ranger tight, have enough pockets in a great location, and venting. I read about them not being as warm as other trousers but having ridden with them for 3 months Dec to March in the UK, I can say they are no more colder than others. I have yet to freeze or need an underlayer with them. I have ridden in 4 real downpours and lots of usually light rain. Bone dry. Even around the boots, they don't absorb any water, are ready for the next days commuting. I firmly believe that they would stand up to longer torrential downpours. They just fell, look and fit superb. The only thing I did notice was that the seat is quite slippy compared to other trousers that have a leather patch, but then again, more stitching means more opportunity to leak. The cut is lovely, very well tailored and comfortable. A great touch is that the comfort zip actually zips all the way to the waist and is then hidden by the double press stud closure. It also has a full lined liner to further stop ingress. I bought the Stadler braces with them and these too are quality. Motolegends were the only dealer to actually offer to tailor a zip for me so that I can attach the trousers to my jacket, and this attachment arrived 3 days later in the post. The only dealer to actually cotton to the fact that it just needs the relevant female and male connector to allow this. Well done Motolegends. A thoroughly good experience, quality product and a shop with space and room to move in whilst trying gear on.
Magnus: Fantastic
I rarely feel any need to leave reviews. However, firstly the motolegends service was first class, prompt deliver and great advice re sizing. Secondly, I have just ridden through the flood planes of Staffordshire at 2 degrees centigrade. Running water and standing water on the roads, half way up the front wheel, and I remained warm and totally dry. The Stadler pro vent 3 jacket is also superb.
Wynne Pritchard: Mr
Having had 6 years out of my Rukka Gear it was time for a change and the Stadler all4 pro ticked all the boxes, they are comfortable cool in the 33 degrees heat and dry in the wet. As a motorcycle instructor they are up to the day to day task I require with a 10 year warranty
Gareth Evans: Armour Update
To add to my previous review, while cleaning, I found the pocket for the coccyx protection. I've added a SAS-TEC SC-1/08 Tailbone protector (£5), it fits perfectly and makes a safe trouser a little safer.
Gareth Evans: Great Trousers.
These are all day comfortable trousers, on and off the bike. Level 2 armour and study material gives you a good feeling of protection. I use them in conjunction with the Stadler braces and a 4All Pro jacket. Waterproof and warm.
Mark Wherry: A quality product
For me, more comfortable than Rukka kit. I appreciate the large amount of waist adjustment and having now used them daily over the course of the winter they are watertight and look as good as new. Very impressed and have now bought the jacket
George Cheyne: Mr
I bought these Stadler 4All Pro trousers for a trip to France from Aberdeen and I am extremely impressed by them. At first I winced at the price and had the usual guilty feeling when I placed the order but now that I’ve used them for a considerable distance iin wind and rain I am glad I made the purchase. They are no-nonsense, no fancy frills just plain good quality and do exactly what they say on the tin. They are very comfortable and look great. Thank you Motolegends for prompt delivery. George Cheyne: Mr
Just got these trousers a few weeks ago and I have to say they are excellent. Just did a trip to Cumbria from Aberdeen in wind and rain, was dry and warm all the way. They are very comfortable no nonsense wear, look great and feel good. Although I was worried that I had bought something too expensive for my use but now I have no guilty feelings as they are well worth it. Thank you Motolegends for prompt delivery and good sizing instructions.
Stephen Adams: Mr
Coming from A Rukka Armas, I knew how well laminated Goretex clothing can perform in the wet, and the 4All Pro has performed flawlessly so far. Shortly after buying it we spent a very damp first week of September in Brittany, complete with almost constant torrential rain for the journey in both directions between Kent and Portsmouth, and despite my old faithful Daytona boots eventually giving up the struggle to keep my feet dry, the Stadler didn't let in a drop. On the warmer days we've had so far, the ventilation has been great, and although not tried in proper heat, I suspect that this will be a big advantage next summer. I've only got one minor gripe, and that is that the zip between the jacket and trousers can be a bit more tricky than the one on the Rukka. However, this has got a lot easier as I've got used to it, and I'm hoping that when the braces arrive, that'll help even more.
