Spidi X-Force gloves in black / red Product Information
When we talk about a summer glove, which is what the Spidi X-Force is, we are talking about a glove without a membrane. A glove, therefore, that will be pretty useless in the rain, but that will flow loads of air and allow you to sweat in hot weather. A glove that will be lovely to wear, and that will give you good feel on the bars. The X-Force is all of these.
As a Spidi glove, it is also a bit of a style statement. The X-Force does come in other colours, but we have gone for the one with red highlighting.
The chassis is goatskin. Goat hide is thinner than cowhide, but stronger than cowhide for its thickness. Goat makes for lovely gloves. There's a lot of mesh panelling on the glove for breathability. There's a hard, foam-backed protector for the knuckles. There are smaller rubber bumpers on the minor knuckles. You get an extra layer of leather that runs down the outside of the hand, and into the palm. There's a small pad to protect the scaphoid. Now, most people confuse a palm slider with a scaphoid protector. This one is a scaphoid protector!
You will find some concertina stretch banding on three of the fingers. Some of the fingers also feature stretch inserts. The forefinger is touchscreen sensitive, but perhaps the most interesting feature on this glove is its wrist fastening.
You get this 2" wide elasticated strap that runs around the wrist, and fastens to the underside of the wrist with Velcro. There's also a useful, angled zip that will allow those with larger hands to gain entry into the glove.
There's really not much more to say about this glove. It ticks all the right boxes for a summer glove. Personally, I find it comfortable, but then that might just be me and my delicate paws. I think it will come down to your view on the aesthetics, and your view on fit. Really it's a very nice glove; and whilst not cheap, the price is not unreasonable. It's exclusive in the UK to Motolegends.
