Richa Squadron gloves in camel Product Information
Richa suggest that this glove is inspired by the military; and to an extent that is true. But what is even more true is that this glove is an almost direct copy of a glove that used to be made by Oakley, and that was, indeed, supplied to the military for use by the special forces. Legion are the photographs of top-tier operators wearing those gloves. But Oakley have not made them for many years.
The Squadron is a very faithful reproduction of that glove, but as you might expect it has been worked on by Richa to make it work for motorcyclists. Indeed, the Richa version of the glove is, of course, fully CE approved as an item of protective wear for motorcyclists. The Squadron has become one of the most popular Richa gloves we sell.
The original glove might have been just the job for storming embassies and the like, but for motorcycling the Richa derivative has a soft, D3O knuckle protector and a goatskin leather palm complete with panels of digi-print leather for extra grip on the relevant control surfaces!
Clearly, this is a summer glove; the glove has no membrane, but we think it’s one of the nicest summer gloves we have come across. Much of the textile fabric on the back of the glove is the same as you will find on Rukka’s Forsair 2 glove, but here the material throughout is infused with Lycra or some other kind of stretch component. Neoprene panels are also in abundance, whilst for extra airflow you get eyelets in the fingers, just as on the originals. The glove is lined with a soft, breathable jersey. Finally, the wrist fastens by means of a web strap.
Those original military-spec. gloves are hard to find these days; they are much in demand although it’s virtually impossible to find a pair. They are like gold dust. These Richa gloves look like the Oakley ones, but they are much, much nicer. If I was a Navy Seal or in the SAS/SBS, I would be all over these like a cheap suit. This really is Gucci gear!

Glenn Gibson: Nice Gloves
I ordered the Camel medium. Really nice-looking gloves. Feel comfortable and fit perfect around my fingers and hands although they were a little tight around the wrists which made them difficult to get my hands through when new but having worn them several times, they have a little more give now. I think in time they will fit like a glove!! Would recommend.
Peter: Best summer gloves ever
These gloves are just so comfortable. They probably arent the last word in protection but theyre CE approved and the wrist fastening is very secure. I have worn these in 43C and my hands stayed cool as long as the bike was moving. The high airflow makes then quite cold under about 15C. Great value too. I wear these whenever I can, with a pair of Viriums for cold or wet weather.
Kenneth: Great summer glove
I was looking for the perfect summer glove, and this is it. I love Motolegends. I could buy here in the states, but the way they do business is far superior to what I get domestically. And worth paying the extra VAT. The description is and equally perfect fit. Ill purchase more soon!
Matt Elsmore: Great Gloves
Size is spot on and feel really good straight out of the box, had the Oakley erosion a few years ago and these certainly are better value for money. As usual super quick delivery
William: Great
I take a size 12 glove and this size is a perfect match. Very comfortable, quite handsome and they strike a good balance between protection and decent venting.
ColinS: Super gloves, super service.
Im actually using these gloves for a wide range of activities. They are of superb quality, the fit for me is perfect, and the quality of service from Motolegends has been exemplary.
Neil Fordham: Very comfortable
These gloves are very comfortable and look great. I ordered 3xl because I normally take a size 12 or 13 and these fit well. My only criticism is that they are difficult to get on, even with the strap fully undone I have only ridden in good weather so far so I cant comment on whether that are water resistant but I dont think they are. Overall I am very pleased with them and would have given five stars but for the difficulty in getting them on.
RowlandW: Buying Richa Squadron gloves in camel
The purchase was inspired by the sponsorship tag of the Motorbike Show - saw the gloves and liked them, so went to the Motolegends site and ordered them. First class service - arrived almost the next day I live at the other end of the country, so a day to wait is fine!. Very happy indeed with the interaction with Motolegends and the speed of dispatch. I will buy from them again.
stephen: Great Comfort and Fit
I have these in both Black and the Tan, I find them very easy to wear in all weathers so far from 15c to 39c also in rain with my heated grips they performed well. I dont like gloves that are too thick and thus went with these to try, so goo I brought the black as well. Previous gloves included another type of tactical that ML sold about 10 years ago, the Roland Sands Diesel, Furygan James....these perform as well in my view but better for hotter days.
