Spidi TX-T gloves in black

The Spidi TX-T glove is a supremely comfortable, reasonably light weight, winter option. As such, it is equipped with a waterproof membrane. The glove also contains 100 gm thermal wadding. What this means is that the TX-T is a winter glove, but it's not a particularly heavy or cumbersome one. This is not the glove for the person who commutes into work all through the winter. This is the glove for the person who doesn't mind going out, occasionally, on a cold, crisp winter's day.

 

The top half of the glove is made from an abrasion-resistant, elasticated Nylon material. The palm is constructed from suede-like microfibre. The palm is re-informed with extra layers. On the back of the glove is a hard, knuckle protector.  There's a foam pad at the base of the palm to absorb the energy of an impact.

 

Inside the glove, the hand sits next to a polar microfleece lining, which will only add to the glove's insulating qualities. The mid-length cuff fastens with a Velcro flap; and what is nice about the TX-T is that the cuff tightens very neatly, so as to fit inside the cuff of just about any jacket.

 

This is a glove that could never be described as extraordinary. It will do what it's meant to do. It will be comfortable. It will protect you. It will keep your hands warm, and it will keep them dry. But there are gloves that, individually, do all of these things better. The TX-T is a good all rounder.
