Rokker riding shirt | Rokker motorcycle shirt

The riding shirts made by Rokker are not like the shirts offered by other motorcycle clothing brands. And there's a reason for that. You see, Rokker own this very cool, heritage clothing store in their home town of Widnau. Now, in that shop the sell the real deal. Proper American lumberjack shirts made from flannel. They're not really aimed at bikers. They're just cool shirts. For cool people. A shirt that you can wear out with your motorcycle jeans and just look like a regular joe.

But what it meant was that, when Rokker decided to produce, protective, riding shirts, they simply took those very same shirts, and lined them with the same fabric they use for their jeans in order to give them added abrasion and tear resistance. And this has implications.

First, of course, they look right. When a motorcycle apparel company tries to copy this style of shirt, they rarely get the detailing correct. But the way they have gone about these shirts, they are not lightweight. Held, for example, does a similar-looking rider shirt. It's half the weight, and just as protective, but it lacks the authenticity of the Rokker one.

But the biggest difference, as we see it, is that the Rokker shirt wears more like a jacket. What some in the fashion world call a 'shacket', I think. And it wears more like a jacket because when you take an already substantial flannel shirt, and line it with the same fabric that Rokker makes its protective jeans from, the result is not exactly lightweight.

For some this might be an issue because a Rokker shirt is not going to flow air like a Klim Marrakesh. The fact is that you wouldn't normally wear much beneath it, and you might often ride with the collar open, but In thirty dgree temperatures, this might not be your best option. On a nice, summer's day you'll be fine. These shirts are going to be relatively cool to ride in. They have some underarm vents and the lining is infused with Coolmax to enhance breathability, but if you're setting off across the Sahara, a Rokker shirt just isn't what you want.

Rokker Chicago rider shirt in grey / red

Stuart Cox: Great for summer riding

I bought this shirt to ride in on a recent 1900 mile trip, I found it really comfortable while riding in 25 to 30 c temperatures and the under arm vents are a nice feature. Really pleased with it

Rokker Boston rider shirt in grey

Mark J: Love this shirt

This is a great buy. Really great quality. It is indeed wind proof and as a guy who hates anything to do with a draught and cold air this shirt is great at keeping the wind out. Im glad I sold my Marrakesh jacket and got this instead. Its so much better. Really disappointed thought that there is no armour included at all with this shirt. Its unbelievable especially at that price. However I took the ghost armour for my Marrakesh and used that.

Rokker Boulder rider shirt in red check

Mark Wilde: Quality

Bought as a summer riding shirt when its too hot for leather jackets. Its very well made . Lovely to ride in summer evening with nice ventilation under the arms. Quite expensive when bought with the armour but it is quality and I am so glad I bought this rather than a cheaper option now that the sting of the initial purchase has gone. Recommended.
