Macna Foton 2.0 RTX heated gloves

 

The Foton was developed from Macna's longest running running glove, although it is in every way a new glove. 

 

The glove is made from goat's leather, nubuck, and Cordura. On the back of the hand you get a soft, knuckle protector. For waterproofing the glove comes with a Raintex membrane. It also comes with a Bemberg line for insulation as this is a winter glove in its own right. Of course, what marks the glove out is that it can also be powered by either a 7.4v or 12v portable battery; or by the bike's battery.

 

The re-chargeable batteries can be inserted into a compartment in the cuff, or the glove can be powered by connecting the lead directly to the sleeves of the Ascent or the Centre jacket. There is also the option to connect the gloves directly to the bike's battery by running wires up the sleeves of your jacket. The four heat settings of the glove can be controlled by a rubber button on the back of the hand.

 

The glove has two adjuster straps. One at the wrist. One at the cuff. The index finger is touchscreen sensitive. You also get a visor wipe on both hands.

 

If connecting the gloves to a Macna jacket, you would need to be riding a bike of, say 450cc or more, to ensure that the draw does not drain the bike's battery.
