Macna Centre heated jacket Product Information
The Macna Centre jacket is perhaps the lightest, easiest to wear and most comfortable heated jacket for motorcyclists on the market, even if it is perhaps not the very hottest. The Centre jacket wears like a very lightweight and summery, Harrington jacket. The material is infused with stretch for the last word in flexibility. One of the secrets of the Centre jacket is that the heating is delivered by means of thin and pliable aluminium sheets. These sheets line the front of the jacket, the back of the jacket and the arms. The other key element of the Centre jacket is that it does not require a separate control unit. It is operated by a Bluetooth app. that you download on to your phone. You still need to connect a harness to the bike’s battery. To activate the jacket, you simply plug the lead from the jacket into the lead from the battery. You bring up the app., then press the button on the left breast of the jacket. You then, on the phone, merely dial in the level of heat you want. You’re good to go.
Now this jacket doesn’t develop the 90 Watts of heat you get with, say, the Warm & Safe jacket. For some who ride in the extreme cold, therefore, the Macna Centre jacket may not be up to the job. But for most of us, most of the time, the Centre jacket will be more than up to the job. But one of the real advantages of the Macna is its lower electrical draw. The Warm & Safe can draw up to 7.7 Ah on full power; the Macna just 4.1 Ah. This means that the Macna is a better option if you ride a smaller capacity bike; say, something up to 400cc. If you ride a larger bike, the Warm & Safe will deliver more heat, although whatever bike you ride, the Macna is the lighter, more comfortable option.

Terry Woods: Works as intended
Comes up slightly small but its comfortable, running off the accessory battery on high it lasts a couple of hours. Its not the warmest but is adequate, I also have a warm and safe jacket which I rate a 5.
Brian: Great product
Got this on one your of Sunday deals, heats up quickly easy to use replaces liner in jacket perfect for those chilly days.
PBonser: Amazing piece of kit
Usual speedy service, sizing is as detailed and fits me nicely, goes well under my Revit all weather jacket and wow, what a difference to have heating on a cold day! As per the ML description, this is a super piece of kit and why suffer when you can be warm!
Kev: Simple layering and dual use at home
Ive not used it as much as Id liked as its a tad tight under the arms of my Halvarssons Celtic leather jacket but its much easier for layering with my new Marrakesh jacket plus merino 200 base and Klim zephyr over the Macna. Ive also just added the Macna Era RTX gloves as the heated grips were not quite up to riding in 3C temperatures on my 1290 SAR. Although I have the battery too.. Ive finally worked out how to power the jacket for homeoffice use when Im on my own.. Ive ordered the Macna universal cable which can be plugged into my Anker powerstation.. Its a shame Macna havent introduced a heated base layer similar to WS.. Im sure this would be a much more versatile option under tighter fitting jackets and especially so for ladies. I prefer the simplicity and cost of Macna v WSs more complex setup.
Alan: Game changer
Initially I was prepared to get the WS jacket but the Macna Bluetooth was the deciding factor, no separate $$ controller required and can use iOS App to control temp. Underneath my Klim Marrakesh it works great. I bought from ML in UK because of their customer service, I asked for measurement confirmation for my size and they provided that in email pic! No issues with customsduty when delivering to USA. Great buying experience.

Dave: Excellent product
I have not actually tried this out in anger but so far the fit is perfect, it slides under all my jackets, leather and textile and you would not know it is on you. the heat level is perfect for the type of riding I do, Im not an all year round rider anymore
Percy: Toasty
Not too bulky so fits under a jacket quite well. On chilly days 7-8 degrees keeps me warm on the lowest setting on a bike with a tallish screen. Higher settings were too warm. At those temperatures less under layers are needed. Really worth having to keep warm and comfortable and maintain your concentration.
Gareth: Game changer
I have to admit I was a little skeptical when I first tried the jacket on to ensure it worked yes it was a cold day, but stood next to the bike for power in a cold garage, it didnt feel that warm. Out and about however, I realised its a different story. Setting out with the temperature around 4c, set on level 3 is toasty warm, with just a merino base layer and my textile jacket no insulated liner in. All day riding means the level can be dropped to 2, then 1 as the temperature rises, but easy to turn up if feeling chilly. The only downside to the system is having to remember to unzip my outer layer in order to turn the heated jacket back on having stopped for fuel, etc. before putting gloves on. The app is easy to use, and with a pair of touch screen compatible gloves and my phone mounted on the bars, its a cinch to turn the heat levels up and down as necessary. Easily fits under both textile and leather jackets, a real game changer in keeping warm on the bike.
Richard: Get one!
The jacket is superb and changes completely the experience of riding in cold weather. I live in Madrid and the mornings can be super cold like 1 degree or less, and then in the afternoons if can be 15 degrees or higher. With traditional gear this is tricky to manage and involves layering up and later layering down. Not anymore though with the Macna centre. I cannot thank the chap in the cap enough for the video he did on this jacket. I was one of those bikers that thought electric jackets were just not the thing for a real biker with Rokker and Rukka kit. But gosh this jacket had changed my approach to what clothes I take. It also makes you aware of other cold bits. You ride along with the torso so comfortable the leaky helmet is much more noticeable I just wish Motolegends would open a store in Madrid !
Steve: Brilliant
Just bought this and tested it today at dual carriageway speed and on a naked bike Bonnie T120. . I had the base Halvarsson layer on under it and then only a leather jacket with gilet over the top. . and on the top setting it was toasty warm and I didnt get the slightest bit cold. . temperature was 4 degrees with a feels like temperature of 0 degrees so I cant recommend enough. . want to get the trousers now!
