Klim Marrakesh jacket in asphalt Product Information
New for 2023, this is an updated version of the Klim Marrakesh jacket which has become our favourite summer jacket here at Motolegends. For us this might just be the ultimate, lightweight, summer jacket. In concept, it is similar to the Rukka Forsair, but it betters it in a number of areas.
The outer fabric of the Marrakesh is a 1000 denier woven Cordura. The fact that it does not have a waterproof membrane means that it will flow large volumes of air although, in the margin, we would have to suggest that the knitted Cordura of the Forsair will flow more. But made of stronger material, we would expect the Klim jacket to be more abrasion resistant and, with its four-way stretch, probably more comfortable to wear too. Unlike the Forsair, the Marrakesh does have a waterproof coating, but with it's loosely woven shell, in five minutes of proper rain you are still going to get wet!
This new version of the Marrakesh now has D30 Ghost armour in the elbows, shoulders and a level 1 D30 protector fitted as standard in the back. All the rest is really detail. We're talking about pockets, reflective panels, comfort linings, and so on. Obviously, if it rains, you'll need a waterproof, but on a hot day this jacket is going to take some beating. We have always felt that there were perhaps slightly too few sizes on the Marrakesh and on occasion people would fall in between those sizes. This year, Klim has added a waist adjuster cord which should help solve this issue.

Dave: Excellent jacket
I just love my Marrakesh jacket. I bought it primarily for a trip to Spain but find that its the jacket I wear all the time now as its just so comfortable. Ive adopted the layering system as described by the chap in the cap and found it works very well. Im still using the Marrakesh now in October with the right base and mid layers, and when necessary a klim zephyr over the top. Klim gear is not cheap but its very good. Its quality through and through and I find its a good fit for me. Add to that fantastic service from motorlegends and youre definitely onto a winner
Martin N: Klim-est
This jacket is Klim at their best. It does exactly as it says on the tin, allows air to flow freely to keep you cool, comfy fit and armour in all the right places. Usual excellent service from Motolegends!
Paul M: Fantastic jacket
Bought a few months ago for a summer trip to Europe and it is the most comfortable jacket I have ever owned. Bought the Zephyr to wear under it and used it a few times on cooler days at home in N Ireland. Currently in the Alps returning from the Italian lakes riding in temperatures up to 36c. The jacket has performed well throughout the trip. As usual the service from Motolegends was exemplary.
Robin Foster: As Cinderella would say, It was just right...
I have always been a somewhat sceptical of mesh jackets, not for what they are intended to do, but how much use do you get from them, and how good is their rider protection? Having watched Chriss excellent video on mesh jackets and the concept of layering Ive now purchased a Klim Marrakech, primarily for a forthcoming trip to Spain. This years summer in Blighty hasnt exactly provided the best of opportunities to test out my new Marrakech, but I finally got out in it today early August. What a revelation! Is it the most comfortable motorcycle jacket ever? Well its certainly the most comfortable motorcycle jacket Ive ever worn. The soft stretchy fabric is a major advantage for comfort, as is the D3O Ghost Armour, and I would add, I opted for the optional Level 2 armour rather than the more basic Level 1. The shoulder and elbow armour is barely noticeable, the back protector a little more so, but what price do you put on safety? The upgraded armour is fifty quid well spent in my opinion. I rode for about an hour and a half in temperatures between 16 and 20 degrees C, and at speeds up to seventy something or other mph. Beneath the Marrakech I wore a Halvarssons Dry Sweater base layer and a cotton T-shirt. At no time did I feel uncomfortable, quite the contrary, as Cinderella would say, It was just right. Early days yet perhaps, but the Marrakech get the thumbs up from me. Ill report back after the Spanish excursion...
