Klim Badlands GTX long gloves in grey Product Information
Klim is just of those companies that does not do things by halves. Nor do they follow the crowd; they do their own thing, but we’ve come to realise that, often, the way they do things is just better. And we can see that in a number of their pieces that we offer. Their gloves seem to work particularly well. They can be spectacularly expensive, but they seem to fit superbly, and in terms of functionality they want for nothing. A case in point is the Badlands GTX winter glove. It’s a Gore-Tex glove, but it has a membrane that is laminated to the outer shell, meaning that it will never wet out. For insulation, it is padded with genuine 3M Thinsulate. The Badlands is also well endowed when it comes to protection. A Poron knuckle protector, as well as Superfabric at the knuckles, in the palm and on the wrist. One thing that we really like that we haven’t seen on other gloves is a neoprene gasket in the sleeve to stop water running down into the hand. Very clever. You also get two visor wipes, accordion-stretch panels, and a fleece lining. The glove is also touchscreen sensitive. We don’t think there’s a better, all-round winter glove on the market. There might just be a warmer glove, but for comfort, warmth, protection and impermeability we don’t think there’s much to touch it.

Mark: Great winter glove
I purchased these to use on the UK MCC Exeter trial which combines elements that create one of the toughest motorcycle events in the calendar, taking place in early January, 60 percent at night and with off road and road sections. So far so good on warmth, waterproof and touch screen. They feel a bit bulky initially but this has improved with use. Has the feel of a quality product but should do at the price. Also like Klim gear as it generally lives up to expectations. So far so good. Only reason do not giving top marks is seems a bit over size.
JJ: Warm comfortable
Ive not yet used them in heavy rain, hence the 4 rating. However, in the rain ive experienced theyve been very good. The long cuff is great at hiding well under the sleeve for a truly sealed gloved hand from the rain and cold. And theyre easy to put on with one hand already gloved too. The insulation only on the back of the hand, and thinner on the palm is a great feeling. You have a very tactile feeling glove, but with the outer warmth and waterproofness of a cold weather glove.
Alessandro Pozza: Amazing piece of kit!
I watched many times Chris video about these gloves but the very expensive price kept me for some time from pulling the trigger. However I have planned a Patagonia motorcycle trip this coming winter so, reluctantly, I bought them. It was a great choice, they are, as Chris says, possibly the best winter gloves in the market. Incredible attention to detail and, as expected, very warm indeed. I am giving them 5 stars only because I cant apparently give them 6, or 7...
