Helstons Liberty boots in black Product Information
The Helstons Liberty boot sits somewhere between a trainer-style boot and a more robust work-style boot. The boot is made entirely from leather and, for added comfort, is calfskin lined. All this makes it a supremely comfortable boot both to walk around in, and to ride in. Between the two layers of calfskin there's a waterproof membrane. Of course, a short boot like this is never going to be as waterproof as a tall one, for obvious reasons. There's a tough counter in the heel, and you get a hugely strong toe box. You get soft, energy-absorbing protectors in the ankles and an extra layer of leather on the toe for the gearchange. The sole is white and flat. This give the boot a particularly cool aspect, but the benefit of the flat, slightly wedged sole is that it works really well on the bike, allowing you to move your feet along the pegs without a heel getting in the way.

LeeC: Very happy
True to size. Im usually a UK 9. The 43 fits me perfectly. Extremely comfortable out of the box. No breaking in required. I wear these in the office. More comfortable than some of my non biking footwear. Protection. The toe box and heel are reinforced to a level similar to steel toe caps. However, you can not feel this when wearing them. They are, though, a compromise. They are not a substitute for a decent bike boot. Being a short boot there is almost no lateral stability. Kept in context I view this a plus point. For a low speed, short commute to the office I wanted a boot I could wear all day. Lateral rigidity would diminish the off bike wearability. If you want a stylish boot with more protection than a non bike boot these should be on your consideration list. Motolegends. As always, efficient and easy. Rapid delivery. Great comms. Fantastic range. 1010
