Held Barrea ladies touring boots in black

The way we do things at Motolegends is a bit different. We are not really interested in offering, for example, six pairs of gloves that do exactly the same thing at the same price point. We put a lot of effort into selecting the best products in a given category. And what this means is that when we take a new product on, it will either replace something we already do, or bring something new to the party.

 

Now we already have a boot that is quite similar to the Barrea. Like the Barrea,  it is a full-grain, cowhide ladies' boot. Like the Barrea, it has a waterproof membrane. Like the Barrea, it has a lift in the heel to help those who find it difficult to flat foot on the bike.

 

That boot is the Daytona Pilot SL. It's a heck of a boot. It's  actually got a superior Gore-Tex membrane, but the main difference is that, at the time of writing, it had a price £350. The Barrea costs just £140. And that's why we've added it to our range. We don't have anything like it. It's a simply outstanding boot for the money. And remember we're talking about Held here; not some budget brand you've never heard of!

 

As we have said, the Barrea is a touring boot with a built-in raised heel. In size 39, that lift is about an extra 6 cms. There are lots of ladies' boots out there with heels, but a traditional heel will usually not work on the bike. If you want a bit of extra height on the bike, this is the kind of boot you need.

 

The chassis of the Barrea is a full-grain cowhide. It's got a soft, Polyester lining, and a membrane for waterproofing. You get a side zip to get in and out of the boot. There's a gear shift pad on the toe, and the sole is anti-slip. There's a tough protector in the shin. And you get concertina banding in the heel and forefoot for comfort.

 

Really, with the Barrea, you get everything you would expect in a short motorcycle boot. We really can't see the catch. This boot looks like a Daytona Pilot. It does pretty much everything the Daytona Pilot does. But it does it for a lot less money. We don't normally chase the cheapest gear out there, but honestly the proposition here is too compelling to pass up. What a boot! What a price!
