Halvarssons Trenton jacket in brown Product Information
The Halvarssons Trenton is a biking jacket based loosely on the design of the original WW2, A2 flying jacket. It's made from a washed, or tumbled, goatskin. Now goatskin tends to be thinner than cowhide, but for its thickness it's much stronger. Goat, though, is superbly comfortable to wear, and indeed that's the case with the Trenton. But, as always, Halvarssons has lined this jacket in all the most vulnerable areas with its own Hi-Art lining that increases the strength of leather by 200%. CE armour is fitted, as standard, in the elbows and shoulders. There's a pocket for a back protector, although frankly we would recommend our own Velcro-adapted D30 protector over Halvarssons' own. That is, unless you're wanting a protector that can double as a wake board! The jacket has two pockets on the outside, and two more on the inside. The collar is kept in place with fasteners to stop it flying about in the wind. The hem adjusts by means of two side buckle straps. Obviously, the Trenton will zip into any Halvarssons pant, but use the company's simple but clever Waist Zip, and you can connect the jacket to any pair of jeans. This is going to be a great summer jacket. If it is cold, layer up. If it is wet, put on a waterproof. Or take the car!

Brian: So lightand stylish
This is the lightest leather jacket I have had. It is all day comfortable, both on and off the bike. It is both and practical, with plenty of useful pockets. The sizing is accurate and the jacket seems very well put together, using top quality materials. I replaced the original armour with less bulky D30 ghost armour. It is nigh on impossible to distinguish this very protective jacket from a purely fashion garment. I love it!
Steve M: Stylish in brown
Typically with Halvarsson, a quality jacket that also fits well and looks great. This could easily be worn off the bike as well as on as it is not obviously a bike jacket being brownand more of a classic cut. I changed the armour for Halvarssons new lighter version which is much better level. 2 and almost unnoticeable, in fact so good I have now upgraded another Halvarsson jacket too. I look forward to using this more as we get into spring and summer and feel it will provide good protection but good comfort, pleased so far..
John Currah: Comfortable, looks great
If you buy this jacket because of the way it looks, you won't be disappointed by how it feels. Very supple leather, subtly distressed to look just like an old leather jacket you threw on to ride your bike. Quite a tight fit - you'd struggle to get a jumper underneath it, but it's a summer jacket so that's fine by me. If you're used to D30 protectors, Halvarssons' are a bit bulky, but not particularly noticeable once the jacket is zipped up. As they are held in place by Velcro, the protectors have quite a wide range of adjustability: it's worth taking time to get them in the right place, as it makes a big difference to comfort. Well suited to "sit up and beg" riding positions and very comfortable on that type of bike, although I suspect there could be a gap at the back on a sportsbike. I also bought Motolegends back protector to fit the jacket - fits fine.
