Halvarssons Vansbro jacket in black Product Information
The Vansbro is a new-for-2021 laminated jacket that replaces the outgoing Walkyr. We were never huge fans of the Walkyr because it totally lacked shape, which made it somewhat baggy on many people. The membrane is a Dryway two-layer membrane, which means that the Vansboro is certainly comfortable to wear. The outer fabric has a lovely soft, brushed feel to it. The jacket also has a Teflon coating for extra impermeability. There’s Hi-Art in the elbows and shoulders for added abrasion resistance. And Level 2 armour in the elbows and shoulders. Of course, the jacket also has a pocket for a back protector. You get two large vents on the chest, vents up the sleeves, and an open exhaust vent across the back. The removable, thermal lining comprises both Outlast and Thinsulate. The neck collar is removable. There’s also a zip to attach the jacket to the matching Wish pant. The Vansbro is AA certified under EN17092.

Bruce: Dry in Scotland...
Stayed dry for a very rainy week-long tour around Scotland. The thing I really like about laminate is when youre camping, it dries out overnight..
Nick: Halvarssons Vansbro Jacket and Wish Pants
Very light, Very Comfortable, Very Waterproof. I fit. I have around 46 chest and 38 waist, and the XL fits perfectly. Overall, I am thrilled with this suit. The only reason I have marked it as a 4 is the Outlast thermal isnt as good as an average Downs thermal, so as it is November and temperatures are around 8degres, I still feel like I need more base layers on than my other kit, but now I know that its not a problem at all. Its great value and I do love the feel of the jacket and tousers, so very happy!
Andrew: Great value, small niggles.
Bought this jacket after many happy years with previous Halvarssons jacket. Quality of construction is excellent and it has pockets just where I want them. Stayed dry so far but one niggle is I get a cold patch at the front of the jacket from the collar down to the bottom of my chest bone. This area is in direct airflow and I feel the inner liner does not come together enough in this area leaving an exposed section. Second niggle is getting the first cuff zip undone when I still have both gloves on. Unless you hold the cuff down between fingers and wrist the zipper tag is difficult to un-zip sufficiently to undo the glove velcro to remove it. Would I buy this jacket again, yes probably but I may check out latest versions as well.
Patrick: Halvarssons jacket trouser
Baptism of water! Torrential rain from Nottingham to Pembrokeshire, there back. Very light, very comfortable VERY dry. Excellent...... so far. Trip planned to Cairngorms soon so I hope its not a flash in the pan
Vincent: Quality Fit and Excellent Details
After watching so many review videos on Moto Legends, and with a good few hundred miles in very warm, for September, or heavy downpours I know the Vansbro was a great choice for me. I have returned numerous jackets to other retailers because of sizing issues, faults or just not anything like described. The Vansbro I ordered. I got exactly what I expected from Moto Legends. Excellent quality, perfect fit and comfort that makes me focus on the riding and not the jacket. Outlast and venting did as good a job as expected when the cold morning gave way to a sun beating down on me, and on the couple of times in the very cold and heavy rain, the Vansbro kept me warm and dry for the remaining 100 or so miles of riding on those days. The zips on the sleeves, vents and body move smoothly. The side pockets are just in the right place for me, and the waterproof internal pocket does a great job at keeping my phone and cards dry. The magnetic storm flap is so much better than the hook n loop of my previous long term jacket. For a laminate jacket to feel this soft is great and the price, I would recommend you try the jacket on for yourself.
Graham: The Vansbro is brilliant
best jacket i have ever had. looks good and all materials feel good, nice quality material. The jacket kept me cool on warm sunny ride and kept me dry and warm in the worst weather this year, 3 hour ride in bad rain gloves and boots soaked through, now replaced. 10 out of 10 for the advise from the chap in the cap gave on the Vansbro jacket.
Graham: The Vansbro looks great and it works
The Vansbro and the Wish pant were tried out in earnest with a 3 hours ride in 8 degrees, storm force winds and torrential rain in a ride through North Scotland. I got home completely dry. I did have a cotton base layer on but would have welcomed a micro down jacket of some kind. Storm neck cover also did a great job. I'm just over 6' slim to medium build and the size 52 is a nice fit. The pockets are good, especially the side waterproof pocket. The jacket i think look really nice - the hi-art elements give it nice contrast and the overall feel of the material is pliable and not stiff at all. Definitely recommend. I would apply similar comments to the Wish Pant
