Bering Hurricane GTX pants in black Product Information

As with the matching Bering Hurricane jacket, the first thing to note is that this is a laminated pant. But importantly it’s a Gore-Tex laminated pant. It’s important as it’s virtually impossible to make a poor-quality Gore-Tex product; and that’s because Gore sets out guidelines for manufacture and inspects products before they come to market. In this trouser, it is a two-layer laminate construction that is employed. Two-layer laminates are just as waterproof as three-layer garments, but they tend to be more comfortable. And indeed the Hurricane is a very comfortable trouser.

The Bering Hurricane trousers come equipped with all the features you’d expect on a premium pant. So you get a removable, thermal liner, CE armour in the knees and hips, ventilation zips, reflective panels, two external pockets and a zip for connecting the pant to its matching jacket.

We like this pant. It really is very comfortable, but it won’t work for everybody, and that’s because Bering only offer it in one leg length in a market when most top-end brands offer three. What this means is that if you have an inside leg that measures between 32” and 34” you will probably be fine, as the leg does have a facility to be slightly shortened or lengthened on Velcro straps. But if you’re below a 31” leg, it won’t work for you; similarly if you’re over a  35” leg. We do wish Bering would sort this out because retailers like us cannot fully get behind a product that is only going to work for, say, 60% of motorcyclists.

Under EN 17092, the Bering Hurricane pant is approved at the A level. Impressively, it comes with a five-year warranty.
