Waterproofs for motorcyclists

A set of waterproofs is an essential accessory for all motorcyclists. In truth, we rate the Scotts above anything else that money can buy. In the winter, staying dry is crucial, for all the reasons we have already covered. Feeling wet when it’s cold is not nice, but when that wetness causes us to lose body heat, we are never far from trouble. But don’t ever forget that a waterproof membrane is also a windproof membrane, so whenever we feel cold a waterproof will further combat wind chill, whether it’s raining or not. You should never leave home without a set of waterproofs. They can literally be a life saver.

Scott Ergo Pro DP waterproof jacket in hi-vis

BJ: Simply the best

This waterproof jacket is perfect. Easy to put on and take off, very comfortable to wear and, above all, keeps you dry in the worst of weathers. It turns any biking jacket in something for all seasons, with the need for Goretex etc. It folds down to a compact size and has its own, very practical bag. Put one in your panniers, top box or tank bag and you are ready for pretty well anything the fickle weather gods contrive. For some reason, the size guide on the Motolegends website seems different to the one on Scotts. The solution is simple get the same size Scott jacket as the jacket you are going to wear it over. Highly recommended.

Scott Ergo Pro DP rain trousers in black

Jeremy: Excellent waterproof trousers

The functionality and performance of these waterproofs is excellent. I opted for the longer leg version and they fit my 34+ inch legs with no creeping up. The XL is also great for my 34 inch waist wearing bike jeans or textile trousers. Highly recommend them and had excellent service from Motolegends.

Scott Ergo Pro DP ladies waterproof jacket in black

Stephen D: Crazy not to

Bought a full set a few years ago and hoped Id never need them. Got caught in a 300Km long rain storm in France last month. Halvarssons kit started to wet out . Stopped and put both trousers and jacket on and all was good. Totally waterproof and snug almost smug for another few hours of driving rain. OK should have put them on earlier but they are fab. Think the Hi Viz jacket makes more sense than the black that I have. Best value kit out there
