TCX Street 3 boots in brown

The TCX Street 3 is the company’s replacement for the Street Ace, so it has a lot to live up to. The Street Ace was a great boot, beloved of everybody who ever slipped their feet into a pair. The Street Ace was comfortable beyond belief and stood up to heaps of abuse. Well, the TCX Street 3 is in the same mould. It is made from a full-grain leather, although in some versions the leather faces suede out. Like the Street Ace it is a waterproof boot, not that a boot of this height is ever going to be the most resistant to water ingress. Protection in the ankles comes courtesy of D3O. You also get extra reinforcement in the toe and heel areas. Something that the Street 3 has that the Ace never did, is a strengthening shank in the sole. This does not affect the boot’s flexibility when you’re walking, but it does give it much more transverse rigidity. The rubber sole is a hard-wearing, wear resistant affair. It’s called a Groundtrax sole. For added comfort, the Street 3 is equipped with an Ortholite inner sole. We reckon it’s going to become another winner for TCX.
