The Fuel boot is a classic, engineer's boot. It's the kind of boot you would normally wear on a cruiser-style bike, although it wouldn't look out of place on any retro or classic bike. It's made from a full-grain leather that has been treated to give it something of a vintage feel. The boot has a waterproof lining, and closes by means of a full-length zip and a Velcro flap. There are hard counters in the toe and heel areas, and for added comfort you get a leather gear-change pad. The anatomical foot-bed is replaceable, whilst the sole is commando-style for extra grip.

Simon: Boots that would look good in any decade.
Having already bought a pair of these boots recently in black , I went for the brown this time and they arrived as stated by DPD today .The TCX company have evloved into a very well trusted brand supplying bike gear of a very high standard. Their prices are quite exceptional considering the quality of the boots they produce . Well worth your hard earned pennies , with superb stitching , lovely well treated leather and presenting as a pair of boots that give the impression of a much higher cost . Other companys make boots that are very similar and much more expensive , these TCX boots are as good if not even better than some high end brands ...They are very comfy , dont need much breaking in and perform well on and off the bike . My advice is buy several pairs , the price will only go up ...I now have the set both black and brown which suit different jeans and the logic being if you have two pairs and wear them in equal measure then both sets of boots will last longer probably...Buy a pair now you wont be regret it !- NB and yes they are waterproof forgot to mention that important fact ...

I have been after some retro style boots and previously tried another premium manufacturers product in a similar style. They proved to be too small so having read the reviews I tried these and was very impressed. The fit is spot on and they are comfortable but I am sure will improve with wear. I havent tested the waterproofing yet but can say they have kept me warm for a few hours in the winter cold. The protection looks to be good so overall very happy.

I have to say I am very happy with my purchase. I read the reviews and these boots were top of my price range. I gambled and they were as good as everybody said. I found the sizing to be accurate to my normal shoes. They are comfortable out of the box and will only get better as they soften up. They were comfortable enough to wear for a 3 mile dog walk to help speed up the wearing in. As a brown boot it is starting to mark up a bit from changing gear. I like these battle scars but for the OCD this might be an issue.
