TCX Dartwood GTX boots in black Product Information
The TCX Dartwood boot sits somewhere between a trainer-style motorcycle boot and a more traditional, work boot style. This version is made from an embossed leather that prints a texture to the leather that is similar to a Scotch Grain. You get D3O pucks in the ankles, a small gearchange pad, and counters in the heel and toe areas. This version of the boot is equipped with a Gore-Tex membrane, meaning that the waterproofing is guaranteed for life. Now historically, TCX has charged a £40/£50 premium for a Gore-Tex membrane. But on the Dartwood, that premium is just £10, which potentially makes this version the best value boot in the Dartwood range. Don't forget, of course, that on a short boot water ingress is normally over the shaft, meaning that in this respect a Gore-Tex membrane adds little. But membranes do fail, and it's good to know that if it does on this version of the Dartwood, Gore will normally just send you a replacement or a cheque.
To help ingress and egress, the Dartwood has a zip up the inside of the boot, although it is unlikely that you will be able to get in and out of the boot without loosening the laces. Unusual for a casual boot like this, you get a strengthening shank in the sole. This doesn’t impede the flex you need to walk comfortably, but it does add transverse rigidity across the footbed. The inner sole is from Ortholite, and will mould to the shape of your foot for added comfort. The outer sole is called a Groundtrax sole; it is a rubber sole, non slip and oil resistant. This is a boot with all the bells and whistles that you need, but what cannot be denied is that it is just a great-looking boot, with just the right level of ruggedness.

Wanted a good comfy, trainer looking shoe that offered protection with trainer comfort and the looks to match. Thats exactly what I got. Size is true. Im a 10uk and the 10uk 45eu fits like a glove. Very very happy and they look awesome
