Spidi Charme 2 ladies glove in white

We offered the forerunner of this glove many years ago, but when Spidi started to work with an importer they chose not to import the Charme, and so we couldn't really get hold of it. But now that we are again buying directly from Spidi in Italy, we have been able to add it to the collection once more.

 

The Spidi Charme gloves is very much for the summer. It doesn't have a membrane, and there's no kind of thermal component, so this is a glove for wearing on the nicest of days. When the skies open, or the temperature drops, this is not the kind of glove you want to be wearing.

 

But what makes the glove a little bit special is the way it fits. The starting point is a super-soft, 0.6-0.8 mm cowhide. Now Spidi has always done the nicest leather, and this glove is testament to that. This is a lovely glove to wear. For added comfort, you get concertina banding and stretch inserts on, and in between, the fingers. You also get stretch in the wrist.

 

For protection, the Charme comes with a foam-backed, hard, knuckle protector. There's an extra layer of suede leather that features at the base of the palm, and that runs down the outside of the hand. There's another layer on the palm to improve grip on the controls. 

 

The wrist fastens by means of a Velcro strap.

 

The Charme is what it is. It's not the most protective glove out there. It's not going to be up to much in the rain, or in the cold for that matter. What it is, is a supremely comfortable, and rather elegant glove that will be lovely to wear in the right kind of weather.
