Schuberth C5 / E2 / S3 neck pads Product Information
Unlike with a Shoei or an Arai, on the C5 you can change the thickness of the pad that sits in the back of the neck. Changing this pad will allow you to increase or decrease the front to back measure. This is immensely useful, and represents an improvement over the position on Arai or Shoei helmet. The problem with those is that if you insert a thicker liner to close the front-to-back measure you will also make the helmet tighter at the sides. And you don’t always want this. In the three sizes of helmet where pads can be changed, the standard neck pad will be 10mm or 15mm. These can be changed for neck pads in thicknesses of 7, 10, 12, 15 or 17mm. But be aware that Extra Large helmets will not take pads designed for Medium or Large helmets. So make sure you order only the ones that will work in your helmet.

BikerPa68: Its a pad....Wow -
Yep its a pad that allowed me to tighten the fit of my E2 a bit. Eay to fit, if a bit of a fiddle to get the press-stud type things to line up go through the holes in the tabs. A 30 sec job once you get the hang of it. Just a shame Schuberth dont themselves do a trade infree swop scheme for the unused ones taken out of a brand new helmet that are too thin! P.S. Im 100s of miles away from ML otherwise I know they will do this in store for you -
