This Rukka polo is, in effect, a technical base layer, but instead of being fashioned with the more traditional, round-neck collar it has a shirt collar and a three-button placket. And what this means is that it's going to be the perfect shirt for wearing in hot weather. Being all-synthetic it will allow moisture to escape from the body and evaporate. That is to say that it is going to allow the rider to sweat effectively, and thus stay cool. And in this particular polo this effect is aided as it has woven into the fabric a material called Cooltech, which is somewhat similar to Coolmax.
Apparently, there are people out there who just don't like riding in a round-neck T-shirt because, off the bike, they find a T-shirt just too informal. Fair enough. What we can say, though, is that this polo is incredibly lightweight. And with four-way stretch in he fabric it is also incredibly comfortable. And so the fact is that whilst it has been designed for riding, it is actually just going to be a nice polo for wearing in the summer.
