Pando Moto Tuff Chino in sand Product Information

The Pando Moto Tuff chino is the culmination of a project we have been working on with Pando Moto for some months. The brief was a chino you could wear in to the office. The colour is somewhere between khaki and camel. The material feels and looks like a cavalry twill. This is not a heavy pant but neither it is a summer holiday lightweight pant. After all it is still a protective motorcycle pant.

The sizing is by waist size and is similar to a high street jean so you should order as you would a standard jean (i.e. they measure a little bit bigger than the stated size).

There are two ways that motorcycle pants protect the rider. Firstly there is abrasion, tear and puncture resistance from the material. Secondly there is armour for impact. protection.

Now, we know that some people don't wear armour in their protective clothing, particularly if they are hoping to wear it all day in the office.  So our chino comes with pockets for hip armour (not supplied as standard) but has no pockets for knee armour. It is therefore rated level B under EN17092. However, the material we have used is a level AA material in terms of abrasion. In essence, therefore, this is an AA rated protective chino but without armour.

One final thought. If you want knee protectors but want to be able to take them off easily then go for a set of Endura Ghost knee protectors. Then you can slide them off in teh loo before you hit your work day.

Reviews

Bob: All I hoped for

The first pair of work-smart, proper motorcycle trousers. I did add the hip armour and dont know theyre there either. Excellent!

neil: Brilliant Chino

These are absolutely brilliant , if you re looking for a comfortable, safe smart pant for riding to work or DGR etc , these are just the job.lovely and soft fit really well nice bit of stretch not like the very heavy and stiff Rokkers

Alice: Great warm weather trousers

Currently riding in Provence, these are great, comfortable, and allow me to stop and wander about without feeling like an alien. Brill. Also the mens cut works OK with a belt for women.

William: Very practical

A very useful bit of kit. I regularly need to ride into town for business meetings and this is just smart enough for most of my requirements Comfortable and well cut. It would be great if it came in dark blue or black too.

Kevin Bell: The Best Ive Bought

I always find motorcycle trousers a bit of a compromise versus an everyday trouser. However this pair of textile trouser, with optional hip armour, are the best Ive ever bought. They are the most comfortable trouser and teamed the Helston Travel Boot, in tan, are very stylish.
