Kriega R22 backpack 22L Product Information
The Kriega R22 backpack is what you would call a medium-sized backpack. There are larger packs in the Kriega range, but at anywhere near full capacity the R22 is going to be as heavy as most people will be able to cope with. For the daily commute, we might suggest that the R22 is a little on the large side. For a daily pack, most people are going to be better off with the R16. The beauty of both the R16 and the R22 is that they are totally waterproof. Many Kriegas, of course, are not.
The R22 has a main compartment with a capacity of 18 litres. This is the waterproof compartment. There is then a second, zipped compartment on top of this of four litres. This compartment of four litres; hence the 22 litre total. The backpack is large enough to take a 17” laptop.
Of course, the R22 is bedecked with many of the features you find on many Kriega backpacks. We’re talking about like a padded, air-mesh back. A Quadloc harness that evenly distributes the load around the body. Volume adjusters. Reflective panels. A carry handle, and so on.
This would be the ideal backpack for touring or a long weekend away. Frankly, if you need more room you should get yourself a set of panniers. Or maybe even a car!

I must admit to not fitting the r35 full front thing but the R22 has the one clip front and it is so comfortable walking or riding. Nice size even for a airport walk on.I clip a 6ltr trail pack with my wash stuff when over nighting. Absolute pinnacle of man bag awesomeness..
