Halvarssons Zion trousers in black Product Information

The Halvarssons Zion trousers were introduced into the Swedish maker’s range at the beginning of 2020. It is a classic cargo trouser. It fits on the loose side and comes complete with external pockets on both legs. From a strength and abrasion-resistance perspective, the Zion trousers are classified under the latest EN 17092 regulations as an AA garment. They are reinforced at the hips and knees with Hi-Art for extra abrasion resistance. Impact protection is delivered by Level 1 armour; again in both the hips and knees. The trousers also come with a waterproof membrane that can be removed in warmer conditions. Like all of Halvarssons’ trousers, they can be zipped into any Halvarssons jacket. They come in black or a rather fetching camo motif, for a more authentic adventure look.

Adrian: Good value product

Very nice quality trousers at a very reasonable cost - which makes them great value. Theres always a trade-off if you want to hold back on the £. With these trousers, the trade-off comes in the form of a weight penalty, which is far better than compromising on craftsmanship or quality. They wont be the right pants for hot summer days. Rest of the year they should be fine!

Martin: Good value but not perfect

These cargo style trousers fit well and are well made- a quality item. I am 34 waist, 32 inside leg and the size 50 fits me well. I wear them with a belt. My boots fit neatly inside the trouser legs which are adjustable for fit. The downsides are the garment is quite heavy the standard knee hip armour is bulky. Id definitely change that. Chris says in his video that they don't have any venting and having worn them on a very hot day, I'd agree that venting would be useful. But U.K. weather is not all hot days so they'll be fine on most days, especially with the drop liner. Overall, I'm happy with the trousers and they are a good addition to my biking gear. If you are thinking of buying a pair, Id definitely consider lighter, thinner armour. Service from Motolegends was good including speedy exchange and refund of a size 52 pair.
