Halvarssons Arvika jacket in light grey Product Information
The Halvarssons Arvika jacket is a summer mesh panelled jacket. Importantly, and in contrast to most mesh jackets, it is a AA rated garment. It is comfortable as the material contains stretch. It is made of a high tenacity PE (polyethelene) woven fabric together with a high tenacity PE mesh. For extra abrasion resistance there is HI-ART reinforcement in the shoulders and elbows.
The jacket comes supplied with Halvarssons new softer and more wearable level 2 elbows and shoulders. You can add a back protector (we recommend the D3O Viper in Level 1 or 2 with Velcro) and there are attachments for the Halvarssons chest protector. The Arvika as with all Halvarssons jackets has a long waist zip to allow you to zip to the Halvarssons waist zip in jeans or to any Halvarssons trousers.
New for 2023 and only at present in this very light grey colour!

Bobw: Who needs more?
Cool, comfortable, well made and AA rated. No need to pay any more for a mesh jacket.
Mr K: Not just for the holidays
On the run up to a Spanish trip I looked at this product several times over a few weeks. If, like me you been trying to figure the mesh and protection levels of this jacket from the photos, this review is for you. With just 4 days to go before my trip, an impulse buy ok I was 4 beers in and it was mine. Delivery was the usual speedy DPD from MotoLegends and arrived just in time for one commute to work to try it out. The first thing that strikes you about this jacket is it is heavy. With a back protector in it is equally as heavy as my usual textile jacket. The heavy material makes this a no mistake strong protective jacket, without compromises you think a summer jacket might have. The collar even has a rubbery leathery squeak to it subliminally reassuring you that Halvarssons have you covered. The second thing that you notice is that the mesh is not see through. The holes that you see actually have a finer weave within. So they are at best only barely see through. Inside the jacket there is a standard lining and all the pockets you would expect with their linings even a chest protector pocket. So happily no one is going to see through this jacket and notice you are still wearing yesterdays t shirt. Performance wise the air does not feel like it blows straight through disclaimer bike does have a fairing. Its more that the heat inside is taken away, so you dont get a build up of heat and sweat, you arrive fresh. Sadly, it wont help much with the last 200 yards carrying your paniers to your accommodation. It also goes without saying that you will need an outer shell if you expect rain. Back from the trip I now use this jacket daily for commuting during our warm weather. Its nice to arrive fresh and take time to remove your jacket, rather than that feeling of having to remove it within seconds of arrival. Its a keeper for me, and not just for the holidays.
