The Fuel Astrail pants are part of the company's dual line - so a range of product that will be appropriate for a mixed bag of on-road and off-road riding. The trousers have a removable waterproof lining. Although the main chassis of the pant is also PU coated so even without the waterproof membrane in the trousers will give you some level of resistance to water ingress. The legs are wide enough to go over an adventure style boot but probably not a full on plastic enduro boot. They come with D30 protectors in the knees and hips and are certified to AA level under EN17092.

With the waterproof membrane out and vents open these will be cool enough to wear in warmer weather; and with the addition of a merino or similar warmth layer together with the waterproofing back in the trousers you should be pretty well insulated when required.
