Forma ADV Tourer Dry boots in black Product Information

The Adventure Tourer is a classic, cross-over, adventure boot; what this means is that it’s a boot that’s going to look right on an adventure bike, even though the reality is that it is designed almost exclusively for road riding. You could, at a pinch, do a bit of green laning in the Adventure Tourer, but that’s about it.

The issue is that a proper adventure boot will be quite heavy and stiff, and a touch cumbersome. And as such not particularly nice to walk around in. This, in contrast, is the boot you buy if you’ve got an adventure bike, but use it mostly for commuting and touring. And there’s nothing amiss here. 95% of adventure bikes never go near a speck of mud. The mistake many road-going, adventure bikers make is to get themselves a set of heavy, off-road boots to go with the peaked helmet, vented jacket and metal panniers. But they’re not the kind of boots you want to be wearing when you walk into the office. And they’re not the kind of boots that are going to be nice to walk around a medieval village in when you’re away on tour.

The chassis of the Adventure Tourer is a full-grain, oiled leather. Up the inner side of the boot there’s a suede-like panel for extra grip. The sole may look a little more rutted than the sole of a pure road boot, but that’s just about the look. Even Forma acknowledge that the sole has a compound designed for touring. There’s a hardened toe cap; you also get pucks in the ankle, a hard counter in the heel, and a tough TPU protector on the shin. On the toe there’s a plastic gearchange pad. Entry and exit come via a Velcro adjustable flap, a Velcro belt at the shin and a buckle across the forefoot.

The boot is waterproof, being fully lined with a Drytex tubular liner. For comfort, there’s extra padding at the top of the shaft, both at the front and the back of the boot. There’s also some concertina padding in the forefoot and the heel. There’s memory foam inside the boot for comfort, as well as what Forma call their Air Pump System in the sole, although no pumping is required!

Harshaw: Great Shoes!!

Have worn them on one trip so far 365 miles. pouring rain, no issues. arrived bone dry. fit right out of the box with no break in needed for me. excellent comfort as well. These replaced a well worn Dainese and complement my Klim Outlander short boots. and given the recent price drop, even better value.

Nigel: As described - Waterproof comfy

I have been looking for waterproof boots for some time, I noticed these and Motolegends detailed reviews on this and other boots. I have since completed over 1300 miles in rain wind sun, walked a few miles too - no issues whatsoever. I hope that the clip strap stands the test of time, that would seem to me to be the potential weak point if caught on something in passing.
