The new Belstaff Brooklands jacket is now available.
The Belstaff Brooklands Mojave 2.0 jacket is an updated version of the longstanding, and much loved, Mojave that has been in the Belstaff range for over 10 years. It has been upgraded so that it can meet the requirements of the new CE regulations for protective motorcycle wear. Made from a heavy-duty, 10 ounce, British Millerain wax cotton, the biggest change from its predecessor is that it is now reinforced in the most vulnerable areas with a highly, abrasion-resistant lining that is made from a high-tenacity Cordura 500 canvas. In most other respects, this jacket is virtually identical to its predecessor. That means you get a seam-sealed Miporex waterproof membrane, CE armour in the shoulders and elbows, and a pocket for a back protector. For thermal protection, there’s a removable, quilted, 150g. gilet. On the outside of the jacket are two flap pockets and two zip pockets. Inside the jacket, there’s a side-facing pocket. Excellent jacket, well made and the attention to detail is excellent. I have found that most Belstaff jackets are not true to their sizing and I have always had to go up at least one size. Worth trying before you buy if you can but if not motolegends make returns easy and have always been extremely helpful to get the size right for you.
Paul: New version of Mojave jacket
I purchased a black Mojave jacket size XL because l was misled on the sizing by another review. I liked the jacket but it didnt fit - too big. I visited Motolegends and Sara selected a size Large for me to try. It was a much better fit and looked great in Olive Green. The quality is great and there are some nice features like the elasticated cuffs to keep drafts out, the little air vents under the armpits and the Napoleon zip pocket. Moral of the story is visit the store if you can, and dont be overly influenced by other peoples reviews.
