Saturday September 11th.
We are still finalising ideas for our big day here at Guildford. There will be stuff going on all day. But we’ll be ramping things in the evening, with live music, a hog roast, the Spitfire engine and hopefully a stunt rider. We’ll be updating everybody as things fall into place.
But one of the things we are really excited about is the fact that Zero has added us to their ‘Experience Electric Tour’. They will be here all day, running a programme of test rides. You’ll need to book yourself in, so here’s how it will work.
There will be six test bike. We’ll be riding out on a 10 minute loop from here out to Wonersh, through Bramley and then back here. It should be long enough to give you a feel of what a proper electric motorcycle is like to ride. There will be three rides an hour; meaning that we can get 18 people out every hour.
There will be eight hourly slots through the day: 10.00 am to 11.00 am, 11.00 am to 12.00 pm, and so on right through to 6.00 pm. That means that we should be able to get through some 140 rides in total.
But to make sure you’re included, we’ll want you to book yourself into one of the slots. And you can do this below. There’s no charge for this, obviously; but we’d ask you to be fairly sure you’re up for it if you put your name down. You see, we don’t think that 140 places is anywhere near enough, and we want to make sure that as many customers as possible get to try out one of these amazing machines.
We know that most of our customers are petrol heads with neat Castrol running through their veins, but most of realise that electric is the future. And there’s no electric motorcycle that will give you a glimpse into the future better than a Zero. Nobody loves engines and wheels more than I do, but even I have succumbed to the charms of an electric car. And I know it’s only a matter of time before an electric two-wheeler joins the stable. You need to experience first hand the quiet yet seamless power of an electric motorcycle to appreciate what all the fuss is about. You may not get the drama of a high-revving internal combustion engine, but in its own way the feeling is every bit as intoxicating.
Anyway, you’re not going to miss out on our Open Day. For too long now, getting together with loads of other bikers has been difficult. And so we’re determined to make sure that this is a day our customers won’t forget. And so if you’re thinking of coming along, you might as well book yourself in for a ride. Even if an electric motorcycle turns out not to be for you, you will at least be able to talk from a position of knowledge. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. Personally, we think you’ll be bowled over. The first time I rode a Zero, I was dumbfounded. I had never ridden anything like it; and I liked it. A lot.
So click on the link below, and book yourself in. Who knows when you’ll next get a chance? You won’t have to persuade a dealer that your serious in order to take a bike out. Just sign up below. Book yourself in. Turn up at the allotted time, and go out and ride. It will never be easier. Bring your driving licence with you; and you’ll be in business.
