RST Fusion Airbag leather jacket in black

The Fusion jacket is a classic, simple, black, leather, cafe-racer jacket. It is made from a waxed, aniline leather, so it’s soft and supple, and really comfortable to wear. The jacket has all the features you’d expect, but that’s not a lot really. This is a classic, back-to-school number that is going to look right on any kind of cafe-racer, cruiser or classic. But the Fusion has a bit of a trick up its sleeves. Actually, to be honest, the only part of the jacket this trick doesn’t apply to is the sleeves, because the trick is an airbag vest that protects the thorax, the shoulders, the spine and, to a degree, the neck. The airbag is supplied by In&Motion, and it is totally integrated into the jacket. In fact, it’s no great exaggeration to suggest that you almost can’t tell you’re also wearing an airbag. Now understanding the technology, how the airbag works, when and how it works, requires you to do some homework. And there’s not enough room here to cover all the spec., all the detail, all the costs and all the options that you need to know about.
