Falco Legion 2 boots in brown Product Information
This is, we think, the kind of motorcycle boot that many people are looking for, but it doesn’t really embody a very cool look, so there aren’t many boots like it out there. First thing is that it’s a boot that you could wear into work. So, okay, even we wouldn’t recommend commuting in a boot five days a week, and then wearing the same boot all day. That’s probably not going to work, but if if you want a boot that works on the bike, and that looks smart enough under a pair of work trousers, then the Legion 2, as it is known, might be the boot for you. But it has a couple of other qualities that mark it out as something a bit different. First, of course, the boot has no laces; and a lot of people who would prefer to ride in a short boot wouldn’t go near a boot with laces. Some people just don’t trust them. The other thing we really like about this boot is that it has a zip up the back. This really does make the Legion 2 a particularly easy boot to get in and out of. TCX produced a boot called the Staten that purported to do the same thing as the Legion 2, but it didn’t really work, and is clumsy and somewhat ungainly by comparison. We haven’t worked with Falco for long but, no pun intended, they don’t often seem to put a foot wrong. And the Legion 2 is yet another impressive offering from the Italian brand. The spec. is pretty comprehensive too. Full-grain leather. A High-Tex waterproof membrane. Counters front and back. D3O in the ankles. Full-height zip entry. A Commando-style outer sole. If you’re a Bike Shed sort, always in search of the last word in hipsterdom, this boot probably isn’t for you. But it’s comfortable, smart, protective, highly spec’d and eminently sensible. For some people this boot will be the holy grail.

Chris Mann: Very good boots, zip just OK
Ive had the Falco Legions for about 2 years now and am very happy with them. They are comfortable, have worn well, and keep the water out! I agree with Ian about the zips - they could do with being a bit bigger I think, as they can be fiddly to pull closed - the pull tabs on the end are quite small. They arent YKK and could do with an upgrade. That said they havent failed, and maybe a bigger zip would be difficult to fit given that the zips run up the back of the boot rather than on the side. The colour in real life is more chocolate brown than the chestnut shade that most online photos show, if that matters to you. All round a comfortable, practical boot and a good choice if like me you hate boots with laces!
David: All round footwear
I bought the correct size, and for a while I thought they were to big, but after a few rides out realised they were fitting perfectly. Theyve now turned into my everything wear, they are so comfortable I wear them on my daily walks, cant believe bike boots are this comfy, Ive got some Helson short boots, which are lovely but will take 6 months to wear in, The Falco,s perfect save one thing, zip and internal zip flaps dont match the rest of the boot, change this and 100 recommend these boots.
Ian: Lovely boots
My first pair of short boots and I am very impressed. The quality is there and they feel great once you get the size right. The are darker than they look on the website. The zip at the back makes them very easy to get on and off. The zip at the back gets caught on the strips which I guess are designed to stop the zip getting caught on your socks! They get stuck virtually every time I wear them! There is a technique to it and I'd spend some time getting it right otherwise you spend lots of time trying to free the zip.
ian: Great boots
My first pair of short riding boots. I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would wear a boot with laces but most of them do! These boots do not so were just what I was looking for. They are darker than what you see on the website, visibly different when you first see them. Having worn them on the bike they are very comfortable once I got the right size - I am a 43 in my shoes and that was what I needed for the boots. They felt a little loose at first but actually on the bike they were fine. They are so easy to get on and off due the placement of the zip at the rear. This feels their only weak point as the zip itself feels a little flimsy and the rest of the boots feels real quality. The zip is also easy to catch on the 2 little strips of leather designed, I suppose, to stop you catching the zip on your socks. All in all, I am very happy with these boots.
