Motorcycle trousers

In the event of an accident it is frequently the lower half of the body that come into contact with the ground, and usually for the longest time, so the level of protection offered by a trouser is of paramount importance. By contrast, the trouser takes less impact from the wind and rain than does the jacket, so features like thermal liners may not be quite so vital. Leather is naturally abrasion resistant, so leather motorcycle trousers can give you a significant level of protection if you end up sliding down the road. But leather is not good in the rain and has few thermal properties, so leather trousers are not so good in the winter. A good textile motorcycle trouser won’t absorb the rain and, of course, most trousers will have a thermal liner for greater warmth and comfort. All proper motorcycle trousers will come with armour in the knees and hips and, dependent on your riding, you may look for features like anti-abrasion backings, air-vents, stretch panels for comfort, and reflective areas for better visibility. We recommend you also consider motorcycle jeans as an option as the modern protective jean can offer great abrasion and impact protection as well as comfort and style on your motorbike.

Richa Stripper trousers in black

Geoff: Good idea well executed

I like these trousers. I followed the advice on sizing, glad I did as the 2XL for my 36 inch waist is spot on. I have been wearing them over trousers, long winter jumpers and multiple layers however there is ample adjustment still available in the Velcro waist straps. I thought I might need braces, however the waist adjustment cinched up nicely and the trousers stay up. Short leg length works ok for my usual casual trouser 27 inch inside leg. Just the right length on the bike KTM 790 ADV however off the bike the trousers billow in odd ways, thanks to the fairly rigid zip in each leg not folding like the material and looking crumpled at times. But then they are very easy to remove. These trousers are proving surprisingly comfortable, very cosy in quite cold weather 6c and easy to move about in. Might be a bit much for hot weather. Armour sits in the right places, although the hip armour pockets do move around a lot as they are only tethered at the top edge and can be felt at times as the armour wedges between you and the seat! Not tested in the rain, yet. Overall Im surprised and pleased with these trousers, especially the way the fabric feels. So much so that Id like a regular styled pair of motorcycle trousers in this soft shell material, when circumstances allow.

Klim Switchback cargo pant in asphalt

Sean: Switchback

Been contemplating buying these pants and finally went for it. I must say they are very comfortable and seem a little thicker than my Rokker Jeans, but maybe its the stitching and pockets. Pants are a little baggy but work well with my MX boots and TCX ankle boots with the adjustable hem. From ordering online to delivery this as always was seamless from Motolegends and courier.

Spidi Pathfinder cargo pants in tobacco

Hans: Very comfy on and off the bike

Very pleased with these as a comfortable pair of pants you can also wear off the bike. Slim fit and true to size. No need to replace armour with D3O Ghost, I tried both and original fit better without being bulky off the bike.
