Leather Motorcycle Jackets

A leather jacket is a motorcycling staple, and it is written in law somewhere that every motorcyclist has to own at least one leather biker jacket. Leather is very comfortable to wear, and becomes more so with age. Leather is also abrasion resistant, although this depends on the thickness of the leather and, these days, textile jackets can offer even more protection than leather. Leather is not warm, per se, but with base layers or a thermal liner a leather jacket can be fine in the cold. But leather is emphatically not what you want in the wet. It soaks up the moisture, and can very quickly make you feel very cold.

Halvarssons Skalltorp leather jacket in black

Brian: As rare as rocking horse

This is a rare thing for a leather bike jacket instantly comfortable without any need for breaking in light weight sleeves with plenty of room for adult male arms and a sensible length and cuffs that open wide enough for gloves. True to size, with top quality armour and a pocket for a back protector with no velcro needed, unlike some Harlvarssons jackets. It even has the temerity to look great, with a subtle worn-in look and unobtrusive branding. Great for Spring to Autumn, with good ie Scotts waterproofs when necessary. Recommended.

Belstaff Vanguard jacket in black

John S: Stunning

This was an impromptu purchase when visiting the shop. The leather is beautiful, soft and very supple. The lining is very well finished and the fit is perfect very flattering. The look is great and would work with most bikes. Im not a Belstaff junkie, but could be converted! The jacket is simply stunning and worth every penny. I would advise going into the shop for fitting. Im normally and XL and needed a 2XL in this jacket. Many thanks to team ML for their help and guidance.
