Helstons Stoner mesh jacket in blue
I wear a medium in everything and thus ordered a medium for this jacket too. It fits beautifully and is well made, but I could only comfortably wear base layers andor shirts underneath it - no jumpers or it would be too tight to do up the zip. The hemwaist adjustment is by selecting one of 2 press studs on each side. Similarly there are 3 press studs on each cuff to adjust the size. I can only use the largest setting for these and defy anyone to get into the jacketsleeve on any other setting. It would also be impossible to wear gloves inside the sleevecuff. So if you are borderline with your sizes perhaps you should choose larger? However, it is a lightweight summer jacket and so I shouldnt expect it to fit when dressed for winter rain! It does its job well and looks smart enough to be worn off the bike as a summer jacket. The armour supplied elbows, shoulders AND BACK are quite soft, so probably not the most protective, but also dont make you look stupid and do not detract from the comfort of the jacket. One of the best surprises, however, was to discover the second bag in my parcel. This contained a Helstons waterproof over-jacket black with yellow stripes to cater for those unexpected summer showers. All in all, an attractive summer jacket that can also be worn when riding a motorbike. One final point. I bought mine in the sale, so it was an absolute bargain, but I was massively impressed with the speed of delivery and the quality and care of packaging - even supplying a coat-hanger! I am even toying with the idea of buying it again in the next size up - just in case I eat too many cream teas over the summer!

Very well made jacket. Lovely leather and good quality zips etc. Good variety if pickets and the adjustments on the neck, wrists and waist are fine for me. The fitting is slightly on the snug side. I need a 46 inch chest with a 36 waist and the 2XL fits well for me but it would be different if it had a waterproof liner.
