Klim

Klim is an American company that makes the ultimate in technical motorcycle clothing for adventure riders for biking either on or off road. Working only with top brands like Gore-Tex, YKK, BOA, Cordura, Koroyd and D3O. What makes Klim special is that it is a company that stands apart from the crowd. You won't find a version of another companies' product. What you get is unique, well thought through, properly researched and tested products that will work for motorcyclists out in the real world.
If we were to cut to the chase and try to explain what Klim is about, I think we would suggest that this is an organisation that is totally product focused. The place is run by ‘gear geeks’. Klim is all about the product. Funnily enough, there actually aren’t many motorcyclists in the motorcycle apparel manufacturing business. And one of the results of this is that the clothing that comes out of most motorcycle clothing brands doesn’t get tested in anger before it goes into production. Klim is different. At Klim everybody rides a motorcycle. They ride in the gear before it goes into production to make sure it is going to do what it’s supposed to do. They test it almost to the point of destruction, and they care about the tiniest details. For the real adventure rider, in the UK or around the world, Klim is a brand you must consider.
Here at Motolegends we have been a seller of the brand for a number of years and are certainly one of the biggest UK stockists for Klim. The company has only been making gear since 1999 but it has become the best in the field. Their pursuit of the highest quality fabrics and materials is unrelenting and, to an extent, they have pioneered the use of Gore-Tex laminates in the off-road arena. But no company puts more time and energy into real-world research. They don't follow trends or fashion. They are interested only in gear that works on the bike; gear that works in the most extreme of conditions, and when it is being put through its paces by the most committed of riders, Klim’s gear works. It is not the cheapest, but it works. It will always keep you dry, keep you cool, and keep you safe. Such is their belief in their product, Klim has an unprecedented life-time warranty on their products.
We have more trouble keeping Klim gear on our shelves than getting rid of it but there are sometimes great items to be had in the Klim sale section.

Scott Ergo Pro DP waterproof jacket in hi-vis
Havent been able to ride in this jacket, but I am impressed. Ordered a smallon the advice I received thank you Georgina!. In spite of my initial scepticism, it fits snugly over my textile jacket. I really like the high collar. As a delicate old fogey, I will hopefully use it more for wind protection than as a rain jacket. I think it will be excellent in both roles.
Scott Ergo Pro DP rain trousers in black
The functionality and performance of these waterproofs is excellent. I opted for the longer leg version and they fit my 34+ inch legs with no creeping up. The XL is also great for my 34 inch waist wearing bike jeans or textile trousers. Highly recommend them and had excellent service from Motolegends.
Klim Latitude jacket in blue
Took a 5 hour round trip to Motolegends to get sensible advice on which suit to buy. Had in mind Rukka or Klim. Budget of around 1500 quid. Chris and Sara were very helpful. Tried several Rukka jackets on but the fit wasnt great, just too short. The Latitude was perfect for me at 188cms tall. Just felt right when I put it on, plenty of vents and adjustability. Bought the trousers as well, only problems was that the knee armour was far too high in the pockets. Motolegends had the armour pocket moved and delivered at no extra cost took about a week. Only two downsides, the armour is level 1 and not as substantial as Rukkas. The jacket trouser connecting zip is short and a bit fiddly to zip up.
