PMJ Motorcycle Jeans

PMJ Motorcycle Jeans

PMJ proudly proclaims the fact that all its jeans are designed, and actually manufactured, in Italy. The company comes out of the fashion world where it has more than 30 years’ experience in making denim jackets and jeans for some of the world’s best known and most prestigious brands. At the heart of PMJ’s motorcycle- wear proposition is a high-tech thread known as Twaron. It is used in bullet-proof vests and the company claims that is much more ‘resistant’ than Kevlar. In its single layer jeans, Twaron is woven around the denim/cotton fibres in both the weave and the weft to create an impressively strong single layer fabric. Now, the reality is that many of the motorcycle jeans manufacturers are a little cavalier when it comes to issues of CE approval, but all of PMJ’s jeans are fully CE approved under the latest EN 17092 regulations, as indeed all motorcycle jeans are required to be. But because they believe that many motorcyclists are more concerned about ‘slide’ times, they also test their jeans on a Cambridge machine under the EN 13595 protocol. For us, this puts PMJ in a different league to many of the other manufacturers. That they can make stylish jeans that fit well has been proven over many years. But this is a company that also takes its commitment to safety and rider protection seriously. They do things properly and as they should be done, so that all motorcyclists can be confident that they are buying jeans that can be totally relied upon.
